April Moms Check In - How Are You Doing?

Hi April Moms!

How is everybody doing?

I feel good although the last few weeks I started getting charlie horses/leg cramps and some lower back pain.

Invites to my shower were mailed out and there are already things purchased off my registry! YEAH!

DH and I attended the first of two childbirth classes last night. We found it very informative. Next week our 2nd class is at Winthrop with a tour of L&D.

As of this week, I start going to the OB every 2 weeks! Baby is doing well and moving around like crazy!

Hope everyone is doing well! I think I'm #98 on the expecting list!!!

Hi everyone!!

I'm doing great. But I'm starting to feel really BIG and can't imagine that I still have almost 3 months to go. I feel like my belly has grown in exponential proportions in the past 2-3 weeks.

Starting to go to the dr. every 2 weeks starting V-Day!!

I'm also getting bad leg cramps at night and uncomfortable sitting, generally.

Shower is in mid-march and I think SIL was sending invites out either this weekend or last weekend.

I'm getting so excited to meet but also starting to get nervous about delivery.

Time seems to be going too fast and too slow at the same time.

Nursery furniture is in but I haven't gotten it delivered yet bc the room's not ready.

Hi everyone,

I'm doing okay. I am huge!!!!! This baby beats up on the insides a lot more then dd did. I'm starting to try to get all the stuff I will need that I don't already have.

I'm really excited to meet our little or but I'm scared at how I am going to handle 2 little ones under 2.

Hi fellow April Moms!

I'm feeling pretty good these days...tired and uncomfortable (mostly at night) but otherwise I can't complain. Sciatica pain comes and goes.

DH and I opted to rent child birth videos in lieu of having the woman my doctor recommended come to our house for instruction. The videos were very helpful and I'm going to call my hospital to find out when the L&D tours are.

Aside from hanging the blinds, curtains, and pictures, the nursery is finished!

My shower invites went out a couple of weeks ago. I think my shower might be the first weekend in April. I can't help but sneak peeks at my registry...13 items were purchased so far!

It's great to read about how the rest of you are doing! Continue to feel well ladies!

ETA: This baby is moving around like crazy! I think I have a future gymnast in my belly.

Hi Ladies!

I'm still feeling good, but a tad less comfortable than before...I'm not huge all over, but my belly is enormous! is a bruiser, just like his mom & dad. Accoding to BIL, he will be "built like a brick sh1thouse" b/c we both are.

My growth sono is scheduled for 2/26 and then I go back to the doctor twice in March and every week in April until I explode.

Karen, I totally plan on cheating off of you since you guys are attending childbirth classes!

I ordered the border paper for the DS's room this morning online since they didn't have it in-store when I went and we are painting next week - I'm so excited to have the room ready! In the meantime, DH is ripping up the carpet and finishing the hardwood floor underneath b/c it needs to be sanded and polyurethaned and all that jazz.

I feel like this poor kid will never have a name b/c we search and search and have nothing, but I have not lost all hope yet. I'm sure it will just hit us. Hopefully before starts school!

My shower invites should have gotten to everyone in the mail by today and a bunch of stuff has already been purchased off my registry. It's so cool to see it go that I just can't stop peeking!

Hello fellow April moms!

I am feeling pretty good except for the pelvic pressure and heartburn i've been feeling and yes the sleepiness is coming back and a bit of the mood swings!

My shower is March 8th and i've been checking my registery very regularly and a lot of stuff is off!!

Let's hope for a quick 3 months

I am feeling okay. Not sleeping so great anymore. The sciatica is getting worse.

Shower is set for mid March. Invites go out this weekend.

Going to doctor to get the RhoGam (Rh-) shot tomorrow.

Cher - you can cheat off me. All I will tell you is that what we saw in the video made Dave very squirmish...I mean, we saw everything. I never thought somebody's body could do that!!! (I'm sure you get the picture)!

Hello all,
I am feeling great, except some back pain and hip pain when I sleep. My Snoogle is not working so well anymore! My shower is this weekend, since my SIL has to fly up here and she is preggo, too, and won't be able to fly much longer.

I am starting my childbirth class at Winthrop in two weeks. Anyone who has taken it, is it worth it? I can't believe I only have 9 weeks left! This is flying by and I'm not ready!

Oh yeah, and I don't know what we're going to name this baby , DH and I just can't seem to decide on something we BOTH like. ugh!

Hi April Mommies!

I'm doing well. My shower was two weekends ago and we've got the nursery almost done so now I'm getting excited to meet this little one. Can't wait to find out if its a or . It seems like the next few weeks are just going to fly by as we get prepared.We're taking a one-day lamaze class at the end of the month and I signed of for a Taking Care of Baby and a breastfeeding class also.

I'm 32 weeks now and things are starting to get a little more difficult. I've definitely felt my energy level drop lately and moving around is getting tougher as I get bigger but overall I feel pretty good during the day. Its just at night where I feel like I'm stretched to the point of bursting and it can be hard to get comfortable.

I just can't imagine how big my stomach is going to get over the next 8 weeks. I feel so huge already!

Hi girls, I too feel huge! It is all belly which is making my back very unhappy. I thank God for Zantac it has been a like saver. As of Friday I have only gained 11lbs, but it feels like 100. I am not really having a shower, but a small family thing at my Mom's, because this is number 2. There is a seven year gap because of infertility issues and my family really wanted to do something. So I agreed. The room is not even close to being done. But I am not too worried about it. Her name is picked out and will be "Peyton" . I have my growth sono in about 2 1/2 weeks. My c-.section is scheduled for 4/18 unless she comes earlier like DD#1.

I'm doing pretty well. Sleeping at night is getting a whole lot harder! My snoogle isn't working as well as it used to and I find myself getting up in the middle of the night every few hours to sneak downstairs and nap on my recliner until the hip pain subsides.

Childbirth classes are going well. I had my second one last night and the breathing exercises are relaxing...though some of my co-workers told me that the breathing exercises will go out the window during labor!

Our nursery is pretty much ready and I already had my baby shower, though I suspect that another one is in the works given the strange way my family out-of-state is acting...

I'm still totally addicted to my baby registry and have discovered that a lot of the items I registered at BRU are cheaper and have no tax and no shipping on other web sites...a much better deal than using the BRU completion program!

April moms... lets talk about the nursery! Painting is being done this weekend... but furniture still isnt in yet. Ive got 7 more weeks so there is still some time. Anyone have the nursery done and want to share pics?

My nursery is being sheetrocked in about 2 weeks. We gutted the room to reinsulate(it was the only room left in the house that was not gutted) We are giving the baby, DD#1's furniture and bought new for DD#1. I am much calmer about things getting done this time around. I know if she comes earlier than my scheduled c-section, she will be in my room anyway. But I do think we will be done in time. DD#1 was 3 weeks early. Dr. says that means nothing!

Our nursery is pretty much done, we just have to do little things here and there(hang pictures, hang letters to spell his name, and I am waiting on my rocking chair cushions to be delivered some time within the next month)! Our furniture came on rather quickly so it got us moving early on.

We have the room painted, but we're still waiting for the furniture to be delivered. Haven't hung anything on the walls yet either. I want to order painted letters, but we haven't officially decided on a name yet. We also have to decide if we're going to take the rocker/recliner from DS's room or order a new chair. I'm not really worried about it. We have a bassinet so I know she'll have a place to sleep when she comes home!

DH painted the nursery in January. Our rocker/recliner came in from BuyBuyBaby a couple of weeks ago and its great!

We ordered furniture from Behrs the week of 12/15 and they told us 10-12 weeks (it was just 8 weeks this past weekend). So hopefully any day now we'll get the call that the furniture is in!

I'll post pics when we make some more progress!

We now have the paint and border paper for the nursery and are currently waiting for our new (smaller) computer desk to arrive so that we can get the computer out of the baby's room. Then DH can sand & polyurethayne the floor and paint. I can't wait to have pics to post!

Btw Karen, I FOUND those L&L DVDs this weekend!!!! I must have laid them down on top of the mail that evening when you gave them to me in a rush to keep the dog from jumping on you and they got mixed in with bills. I was THRILLED when I stumbled across them in my cleaning b/c I was killing myself trying to find them and had ooked everywhere. Der.

the "nursery" (heh heh) is still our office. little movement has been made by dh to clean it out. which is fine because the only thing i have ordered is the glider.

someone has graciously purchased the crib off of our registry and is apparently holding it hostage, since that was before christmas.

My nursery is nowhere near done.

I wanted to stab DH this weekend. I've been telling him for weeks now to clear out the furniture from our spare bedroom which is going to become the nursery and he still hasn't done it. Our furniture is sitting at Behr's warehouse for a month now waiting for us to schedule delivery.

I also asked him to go with me to pick out a glider but he "wasn't in the mood to leave the house" this weekend.

I think I'm just getting big and cranky these days!!

Ahh, the lighthearted 2nd trimester days. Are they over? Am I doomed to be a miserable hump for the next 9 1/2 weeks? Tell me it isn't so!!
