Are any of you getting professional pics during your pregnancy?
I am not pregnant, but DH wants me to do this when I am. I am sorry, but NO WAY!!
How does everyone else feel about this?

I am I am having them done in 2 weeks when I will be 8 months PG. I am doing them for myself and my own PG scrapbook I am keeping. I can't wait

I had them done. They were beautiful and a perfect momento.
When I was pregnant with my oldest son, I had them done with my DH and I solo, then when I got pregnant with my next son, we took pictures of me, my DH and my son. and then when I got pregnant with my daughter, we took pictures with me, my DH and my two boys.
I've seen some pictures out there and there are some that may have been done in not so tasteful manner, but if they are done right, they are beautiful.

I agree. I have a camera I can take my own pics...LOL I'd rather spend the money on professional pics when my little guy is born. It's pointless to spend the money on myself for professional pics. I would just feel funny doing it anyway.

I am thinking about getting them done.
Why not - it is only during pregnancy - and I would love to capture the moment, that I dont think I would be able to do with my own camera.

I would love to have them done. I think I might just have DH take a few of me a few different ways.
As of right now, we take a picture of me just about every Sunday to get the whole growing-belly process. I started that around 19/20 wks and have been doing it since.

I had them done last week (at 35 weeks) at Glamour Shots. It was alot of fun, and I think when we get them back it will be worthwhile. You just have to be careful not to get s*ucked into spending alot of money. These photography places are definately in business to make $$$. If you do it, be firm on what you don't want to buy. The girl working with us started out trying to sell us over $1400 worth of pics!  We ended up with spending just over $200, and believe me -- that was being extravagant. More than we really "needed" -- just alot of what we "wanted".
We just felt that we could take the pics at home, but neither of us could "stage" them or give them the quality of a professional.

My hubby did them of me....kinda Demi Mooreish in b & w. I wouldn't feel comfortable undressed infront of a stranger. I think with a little creativity you can get great pics on your own........

speaking of professional pics... is the pic of your daughter in your avatar professional or did you do that yourselves? It came out great! I love it!
