Yes, Ava starts tomorrow. I got really sad yesterday when Brody and I were in the car alone and a Raffy song came on the cd player. He smiled and looked over to her seat, and she wasn't there.


She has been a handful for the past 3 years and I was doing the "how many days till kindergarten countdown" in my head, and now I feel sooo sad and guilty.

She is soooo grown up and hardly needs me anymore. Thank God for the baby, or or would have a serious meltdown!!

MY DS doesn't start until next Monday! I get one more week with him before he's gone all day

I also have a DD who is starting nursery school. First time in over 5 years I will have some time all to myself and I look forward to it!

My stepson is just turning six and just started Kindergarten because his birthday is in September and he missed the cut off last year... But it seems like only yesterday DH and I were enrolling him for his first year in PreK for 3 year olds.

My DD is starting on Wednesday. It's the first year my district has full day kindergarten and she & my DS #1 will be gone all day. She is very excited to start and loves new situations.

DS #2 will be in preschool 5 mornings - it will be weird having those 2 1/2 hours a day without someone around for the first time in 7 years.

It's definitely all bitterweet for me too.
