Are blowouts really due to the diaper?
Ugh Riley has tons of explosive poops. I change her outfits at least 2, 3 times a day (or should I say they change her at daycare that often!).
Is there any brand of diaper that can really prevent these - or are these just par for the course? I just switched diaper brands so I'm a bit paranoid it's the diaper, but I'm not sure. I even have her in a larger size at the moment.
TIA

Nope. The diaper doesn't sh!t.

The ONLY time Emerson ever had a blowout was when she needed to move up to the next diaper size. Maybe try a different brand or size.

Re: Are blowouts really due to the diaper?
I had this issue with both girls - with DD#1 I was able to just switch diapers or go up a size and it was fixed. With DD#2 she seems to poop out of her diapers a lot in the car seat. Going up a size didn't help b.c they were HUGE on her and everything leaked out the legs b.c they were WAY too big. I have been alternating between huggies (which I never used for DD#1) b.c they have elastic in the back and pampers cruisers and I fol the back in (another mom told me that works). We still have a few here and there but it's much better.

Re: Are blowouts really due to the diaper?
It's all in the way the diapers fit. It may not be the brand of diapers it may simply be the size.

I agree.
I wound up with Luvs for my son and Huggies for my daughter.

Luvs works best for our Riley. Pampers she always leaked thru.
What size is she in?

I don't know Tara..
I've been using Pampers Baby Dry size 3 for weeks now, no problems and this morning we had a major blowout so bad I had to throw his PJs away
