Are certain people allowed to type longer posts than others?
I can't seem to ever write more than a certain amount in my posts and then it cuts me off and I have to split it into two. I see many many posts that are veryyyyy long. What gives?

Never had that problem. I'm thinking back to LIW when I wrote my big long huge detailed review. There is no limit that I know of.

Interesting-I can write really long posts when I want. I didn't know there was a cut off!
ETA: Okay-I can't write as much as a I thought. I just did a test and it cut me off after a while. I could type anything I wanted but it cut off what it showed.

I don't know what you did Crankypants..but can you edit...it's hard to reply without scrolling over 1200 times 
It even does it for FM's...it's annoying to say the least.
I'm not even talking really long posts either. I wrote 3 small paragraphs a minute before I posted this, and when I hit preview, half of it was cut off

I use IE like most other people I'm sure. I can type them..LIF won't allow the whole thing to be read though.

Sorry to be annoying
So it must be just on parenting and special needs, because those are 2 of the places I've had to condense or separate my posts because it cuts them off.
But, it's just for me because someone on parenting had a really long post today (which actually prompted me to ask this)

Is it still that way? I edited it as soon as I saw the results of my test.

I think it has to do with whether you have icicle lights!
When I write a long post, the Preview mode only shows so much, but when I actually post it, the whole post is there.
