Are "rain" boots still in?
I still see them but feel they are a bit out of still now.
Am I wrong? Are they still going strong?

I wear them when it rains
I think dry feet and non-ruined shoes are always in style!

I had rain boots when I was a kid but grown up women did not wear them like fashion shoes. That's what I meant.

Re: Are "rain" boots still in?
I have these in a matte black. i usually wear them under pants because i think they look a little goofy over most of my pants (maybe i need a pair of skinny jeans) but the wedge keeps my pants from dragging
they were $20

got mine at lovemyshoes but when i went back to see if they had them in brown too they no longer carried them. the picture i posted is from target's website, they have a bunch of different colors but i didnt see the black ones i have. target sells most of their rain boots online only though...
ive seen these boots at many places so just shop around, they are usually $17-24 everywhere i've seen them. they are really comfy and not too bulky....
FWIW... i went out in them one night (wearing them under nice jeans) and we got turned away from the bar because one of my guy friends was wearing pumas (and otherwise was dressed nice) but they must have thought my black rubber rainboots were ok

I don't wear them for fashion
only when it's pouring- I live in Queens and I don't get to park in front of my house- so they are a must for me
they are too hot for me to wear if it's not raining
they are functional - but I like them - I will make an outfit around mine - but not on a sunny day

Re: Are "rain" boots still in?
I recently went back to my college for a friends wedding there.
It was barely drizzling and every girl was wearing rain boots in every pattern and color- over their skinny jeans, with a skirt, etc.
So based on that, I would say yes, they are still in style

I don't care if they are in or out lol. If it's raining I am going to wear them. I love my rain boots couldn't do without them in rainy weather.

ITA - I don't care if they were ever 'in' - they're ALWAYS ugly !!! - But they're functional and walking across town in the rain and snow and slush is NOT fun w/o them !!
