Use gass buddy. It has helped us tremendoulsy.

i am SO frustrated with gas buddy!!! there have been a few times i get to a gas station just minutes after some posts an update and the station is closed and was obviously closed for a while.
the hess link seems to be the most accurate if you have hess stations by you.

Re: Are the gas lines getting better?
Every open gas station I passed this morning had no lines at all. It just looked like a nornal day. Guess all the "even" folks are the hoarders!

Good idea. It doesn't make sense why Queens and Brooklyn and even Western Nassau where I work is so bad as far as deliveries and Eastern LI seems to get all the gas.

I'm in Whitestone, the one gas station that has a delivery every day currently has over a 3 hour wait.
Then again, the tanker hasn't gotten there yet..and they aren't sure when he is. I just don't htink it will be any better, there are still so many people on line, it goes down 6 blocks.
My DH was waiting on line since 5:00 am. He was about 6 cars ifrom the tanks and he had to get off the line 20 minutes ago because he had to get to work. He took the Express bus in again.
Since you are in Whitestone, if you have enough gas to get over the bridge tonight, you might want to try the Bronx or lower Westchester. Lines are much better there. The Bronx has the alternate days restriction, Westchester doesn't.
Thanks, we're heading to Westchester or CT tonight. Have to see if MIL will watch DS.
It's ridiculous how there are so many closed stations Queens, and then you read about no waits in Eastern Nassua and Suffolk!!
WTH is going on...something seems so shady.
I also blame people who are panic buying. Like a PP stated there are probably people on line with a 1/2 a tank of gas or more and decided to get back on line because they have an odd number

My understanding is bc we have our own ports here that receive deliveries of fuel, in addition the those from NY harbor.

All but 1 station I passed in my area was open with little to no line. By my parents there were still lines but not as bad as they were.

I am an odd # and have a full tank of gas, but If had 1/2 tank, I would absolutely get gas today. I drive 70 miles round trip for work, have 2 kids who need to be places and its the weekend.
I heard many say that you dont have ro drive too far in CT for gas. I hope it's true for you S!!!

Are the gas lines getting better?
I passed 3 gas stations on my way to work this morning. All 3 had lines but they were a little shorter than I was used to seeing.

Re: Are the gas lines getting better?
DH was in the Valley Stream area earlier and said that the lines at a few stations looked okay, just a few cars long.
Unfortunately, we're even so we have to wait til tomorrow because we're not entitled assholes like some people!
