My doc told me Robitussin DM. It helped clear me up and get the "gunk" out. Hope this helps.

My ped said if I had to take any, take something that doesn't last too long and take it RIGHT after you feed her. But he said if I could deal with it, not to take anything. So I suffered though

My ped and PCP both said to try to suck it up and not take anything unless absolutely necessary.
