Only 1 bag. I mainly use a diaper bag that is more like a tote bag.

I don't really carry both. I have a diaper bag that could look like a regular bag and I absolutely LOVE it. It is Petunia Pickle Bottom. Actually, I have two...one big one for when we are out all day and a smaller one for when we are just going to the store or something.

In the beginning I tried only carrying the diaper bag but it just didn't work for me. I found myself always needing something that was in my pocketbook when I left it home. I like bags and I like carrying one! It's not much of a hassel b/c I just throw it in the stroller when we are out.

I only use a purse. I bring the diaper bag full of supplies to my moms and MILs, but when I go out I just use a big purse. I throw in a couple of diapers, a changing pad, travel wipes and I'm good to go.

I just use the diaper bag. Unless we are going out for the day or something, then I will take my pocketbook as well.

It depends on the situation for me. I do carry a pocketbook 98% of the time. I work so I bring it back and forth with me, and it's a big enough bag that if we are making a quick stop I can throw a diaper and a ziploc of some goldfish crackers or something like that in it.
When we make bigger shopping trips and stuff like that I take both.
Occasionally I'll take my wallet and cell out, but them in the diaper bag, and just carry that. But usually I still use my pocketbook.
