I am no surprised by this at all. I am saddened by it, but not surprised.
I do buy certain fruits there for Luce (frozen) but I try to buy local organic from my neighborhood grocer.
wholefoods is basically the Walmart of health food stores.

I have always suspected this. Also the "organic" stuff at Keyfood and Waldbaums  I just don't buy it.
Another way for them to make more $$.

I just checked out the stuff I have in my freezer last night.
frozen 365 peaches are USA
frozen 365 green peas are USA
frozen 365 blackberries are Chile
frozen 365 raspberries are USA or Chile (can't remember)
frozen WOODSTOCK FARMS organic spinach is CHINA.
thankfully I hadn't given it to my son yet. and now I won't be.
just giving a heads up.

I know. I am kicking myself.
I NEVER EVER buy frozen veggies..well, I didn't until my son started solids. and it didn't even occur to me that stuff from Whole Foods would be from China.
thankfully nothing I've given him so far is (just b/c I would be pizzed) but still....it makes me even MORE excited to have started my own garden!
