Are you a girly girl

As my co-worker and I were leaving, the receptionest was sitting on the couch while the IT guy was reconfiguring her computer (the receptionest is moving onto the floor and a new one was hired. This is a whole different thread Chat Icon ) And the receptionest said to me the one thing she is really going to like is now she can be like the rest of us and wear jeans and even shirts that may have logo's or writing on them. She couldnt before b/c she was the first thing everyone saw when they entered.

So we got to talking and I was telling her I got new shoes and how excited I was about them. My co-worker who I car pool with looks at me and says "you are such a girly girl aren't you"

And I smiled from ear to ear and said sure am. The IT guy is shaking his head and laughs. I continue by saying I am frills and lace, roses, nails done, pedicures, facials, shopping, dresses, high heels, gossip magazines and calorie fests. I am a girl!

I do like to go paintballing but if I break a nail watch out. Someone better have nail glue in their pocket.

I am always a girly girl. I don't understand NOT looking your best. It's just part of who I am.

Yuck...NO! Chat Icon

Chat Icon I am the anti-girlie girl! Chat Icon

ETA: I am so not girlie, that tonight we went to Target and they're closing because a bigger one is opening nearby. Well, make-up is like crack head cheap with the clearance stickers. DH knows me so well and turns to me and says "if you liked make-up we would be here for hours"...Chat Icon Luckily, I hate the stuff! Chat Icon

I'm girly on that too. I was told my job was to polish the bike. I said no my job is to look pretty on the bike. When I had to first put my helmet on, I was mad it flattened my hair. So DH generally shines the bike up, starts it and I just hop on. Looking all cute in my jeans, boots and a tank top. Chat Icon

ETA: I have my not so girly things...dancing on the bar at hogs, flashing 4 guys with a video camera during spring break, using a magnifying glass to burn red ants, and not afraid to get a little dirty (just as long as I can use Shout to get the stains out) but when it comes to pefumes, make up and dresses I am all over it Chat Icon

depends. i ALWAYS wear heels, makeup and style my hair (although most times you can't tell), love to shop and talk on the phone, (all girly) but have no problem popping a squat, wearing a baseball hat and cursing (not so girly).

Re: Are you a girly girl

um. NO, never have been, never will be.

ETA: I dig fashion & stuff, but if I had to choose between being a girly girl & being a tom boy (like if I could not be both) I'd never survive a week if I had to be only girly. I dig my cars & stuff way too much for that.

Agree!

And I don't wear dresses/skirts all that often unless it's an occasion. I do my hair every day, wear make-up every day. I don't get my nails done and I do my own pedicures (although I'd love to get one if I can find the time).

Re: Are you a girly girl

For the most part, yes! But I don't wear much makeup (only eye shadow, liner & mascara).

I am also a tomboy though too! Love sports (football, baseball) & don't mind getting my hands dirty!!!
