Are you brand loyal?
With everything that has been going on with the economy, I have really tried to make an effort to loosen up on what we buy. And go for store brands when possible. Since we used to be so loyal to "name brands".
But one thing I am still always loyal to are Pampers Diapers, Gerber baby food, and Pampers sensitive wipes, and Scott toilet paper. The toilet paper comes from DH. He is convinced all other TP clogs bowls
Are you brand loyal?

Re: Are you brand loyal?
i am only brand loyal with DS's diapers (pampers). i have tried huggies once and i didn't like them. i actually like the target brand too but i didn't use them for long, and the pampers are so absorbent i don't want to mess with them!!
as far as everything else, i just buy what is cheapest/on sale. we are trying to conserve as much $$ as possible.

Re: Are you brand loyal?
I have to agree with your DH on the Scotts its actually the best. As far as for DDI stick with Pampers, I do switch food between beechnut and Gerber just for the fruits and the food varieties DD only likes Gerber cereal
Paper towel I do stick with Bounty although they are not like before cheese I do Kraft

Re: Are you brand loyal?
I guess I am similar to you guys, we buy Pampers diapers, and for a long time we bought Enfamil instead of the generic Gentlease (truthfully, with checks, it would be so cheap that it was worth it)
I do buy DS a lot of Earth's Best snacks. But mainly everything else is whatever is cheapest/on sale.

Re: Are you brand loyal?
We are not brand loyal except TP, I tried Charmin once and DH was very unhappy until it ran out...and paper towels apparently according to DH Bounty is the only way to go!
With DS, I do still buy gerber snacks, but he is on table food so its not too much to buy a few snacks. we switched to Luvs diapers because they were $10 a case cheaper and I actually like them better. And I buy whatever wipes are on sale (lately Luvs from BJs - not crazy about them but they get the poop off so what else can I ask for?), we use generic bottle liners from Target or BJs.

Re: Are you brand loyal?
I am only loyal to his formula (Similac). Diapers we go between Pampers Baby Dry and Luvs, and Huggies for overnight. But food we go with all brands.

Re: Are you brand loyal?
Not really. I buy whatever I can get a deal on. I do buy Luvs because they work the best. FYI for TP, I found the CVS brand is the same as Scott and cheaper.

Re: Are you brand loyal?
Diapers i buy luvs... they are cheep and i found that pampers leaked on him and huggies were crunchy...
food i tend to go with beechnut because the level2 jar is a 1/2 ounce larger otherwise i end up opening a second jar for a small amount more to top ds off
wipes i use huggies only....
so i guess i am brand loyal to an extent
but paper products are whatever i get on sale...

Re: Are you brand loyal?
DD eats Earth's Best baby food. I have never, nor will I ever, buy her jarred food of another brand. I'm starting to branch out with other things since her range of table foods is expanding daily, but I stick with organic for her as much as possible.
For diapers, when she was a newborn I stuck with Pampers Swaddlers b/c I didn't like the Huggies we got in the hospital. When she grew out of those I tried them all, and as a result we found that Huggies Supreme works the best.
As for wipes, paper towels etc . . . I buy what's on sale.

Re: Are you brand loyal?
I guess I am loyal to diapers---Pampers---I have yet to find one that works better for DS--although I will say I try to never buy diapers at full price. Wipes I used to only buy pampers sensitive, but now I buy whatever is on sale or cheapest as long as its sensitive/fragrance free. As far as food & other stuff goes, I will buy pretty much whatever.

Re: Are you brand loyal?
For the most part we are. I think that people with allergies tend to be different about this. I know that I have to remain brand loyal on some things for myself and that has carried over to how I handle things for DS.

For our things I am flexible on brand but for the baby's things I am TOTALLY brand loyal. I found what works for her and I'm hesitant to really mess with anything.

Re: Are you brand loyal?
I am def. brand loyal when it comes to diapers. I only use Pampers and Huggies overnights. I tried the CVS ones that everybody raved about but DD got BAD rashes every time we used them. For wipes, I am loyal to Huggies. I tried Pampers and didn't like them and just tried the Costco ones b/c everybody raved about them and I can't wait until the case is gone so I can get Huggies again. I think the Costco ones are alot like the Pampers, which I didn't like.
I too only buy Scott TP. Papertowels I buy what is cheap.
I am also loyal to my cleaning products. Tide, Shout and Baby OxyClean; Fantastic; Cascade; Windex; Soft Scrub and Clorox Clean-up.
So, yea, I guess I am pretty brand loyal even though I wouldn't have thought so before this post.

I am loyal to Pamper (Cruisers) and Pampers Sensitive wipes. I always seem to buy Tide and Angel Soft Toilet tissue.

Re: Are you brand loyal?
I am brand loyal with diapers, wipes, pretty much the baby stuff (My DS has sensitive skin so I dont want to fool around and change anything ~ knowing me it will cost me more $ in the long run if I would change)

Re: Are you brand loyal?
I am only brand loyal on things I notice a quality difference in and with baby food. DS is only 2 months old and I supplement with formula, I don't feel like it would be good for his system to change which formula I use based on sales.
Other than that pretty much just diapers, I buy lots of store brand products for our general groceries.

Re: Are you brand loyal?
yes...definitely to diapers...I use coupons and circulars to get the best deals though.
And your hubby is right...we just had our cesspool pumped and the guy said to only use Scott's one ply.
