Are you bringing a focal point photo? *UPDATED after delivery*

Just curious what you are using at your labor focal point photo. Please share it if you have it on your computer.

*UPDATED* Just wanted to come back to this post after my baby boy was born on June 26th at 1:51am, 3cm to 10cm in about 20 minutes, less than 2 hours from "check in" in street clothes to delivery.......

Re: Are you bringing a focal point photo?

I did not use one for DD and will not bring one for DC #2. I'll probably use the clock on the wall like I did last time.

I've never heard of this. I did okay without with DD so I think I'll be fine this time too.

Re: Are you bringing a focal point photo?

no, it would have been pointless with my first delivery so i know i don't need it with the second.

Re: Are you bringing a focal point photo?

I had heard about bringing a focal point photo in my lamaze class. I was thinking of including a favorite relaxing vacation photo as mine. It may be pointless or not even get used, but I'm def. willing to try whatever it takes.

Re: Are you bringing a focal point photo?

I had my eyes closed when I was pushing bc I was concentrating. It was dark in the room, with people hovering over me, with the big bright light above me when I was finally pushing.

During labor, I still had my eyes closed while having contractions and breathing-would have been pointless.

There are so many things in a delivery room to focus on if you need it.

I did not, I just instinctively used a light switch on the wall.

stop copying my delivery!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Didn't need anything because I kept my eyes closed the whole time - it hurt less that way. Chat Icon
