Are you looking to adopt a dog?
DH found an abandoned dog chained to a fence. We brought him to the town of hempstead animal shelter and I wanted to post his pic incase anyone is looking to adopt a dog. He is a rottie about 1- 1 1/2 years old. He's very sweet and always wanted to be around DH and I. He's house broken and was great with my dog. He slept through the night and shows no signs of aggression. His case # is 9022

That poor dog, thank you for taking care of him, makes me cry.....

Good for you I hope he finds a good home. Contact a rottie rescue - they can add him to their website and get some more people looking.

bumping incase there's any interest. We visited him today and they said there are no applications in as of yet....makes me sad but I know he'll find a good home.

any updates?
We went to visit him on Thursday and played with him. He seems very happy. We keep posting here, on LIW and craigslist but will contact the rottie rescue soon to see what they can do. We have our name on the last resort list so they can't put him to sleep, though. Hopefully he'll find a good home soon.
