My conversation with Maddie this morning.
"I"m hot. I don't want to be in the sun."
"Maddie, we're not in the sun. We're inside the house"
"Well I'm hot. I don't care about the sun. I don't care about anything. I don't care about you either"
"You don't care about ANYTHING?"
"Well 2 things. I care about a diamond ring & a big diamond that's shaped like a diamond!"
So this is what it's come down to. I can relate but it happened when I was 29.

Ah I've got that one covered.
She did eventually tell me that she cared about a diamond ring, a big diamond shaped like a diamond & me. I think that was only because I told her she's lucky that I care about her or I probably wouldn't take her to the Princess Birthday party she was invited to.
Funny how I don't think twice about bribing/threatening my children into caring about me.
