Armed Man Arrested at Euro Disney in Paris
This is scary. I can't even imagine that happening at Disney world. It's terrifying.
A man with two firearms and ammunition was arrested Thursday at the entrance to a hotel near Disneyland Paris, police said.
The 28-year-old Paris resident was arrested as he tried to go through security at Disney's Hotel New York, just outside the Paris-area amusement park, said Michel Le Prevost, deputy chief of criminal police of the city of Meaux.
The man was also carrying a Quran, Le Prevost said. The man, who was undergoing questioning after the arrest, was not known by police or intelligence services, Le Provost said.
A woman accompanying him was also arrested, Le Prevost said. Information about what accusations she faced wasn't immediately available.
French media reported that the guns were pistols and that the guns and ammunition were found in a suitcase.
Local police are handling the case as a criminal investigation, and the Paris prosecutor's counterterrorism department so far is not involved, Le Prevost said.
The Paris area has been on edge since two sets of high-profile Islamist attacks last year: the killings of 17 people at the office of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and a kosher supermarket in Paris in January 2015, and the massacre of 130 people in shootings and suicide bombings in and near Paris in November.
Disneyland Paris is about 30 kilometers (19 miles) east of central Paris.

Thankfully they got him!! I can not imagine something like that happening in an a Magical Place!! I seriously can't even think about something that evil! I hope they lock them up for life!!!

I agree. Yes, thank Gd. The sickest part is the kids. A place like that is filled with families with children. Schools. Amusements parks. It's all terrifying to target them.

Sick.
I was at Disney World last week and although they searched our bags really thoroughly, we did not go through metal detectors. They had a few there, but barely anyone was told to go through them.
Honestly, I thought to myself - and voiced it to my mom - that it would be easy for a crazy person to come in with weapons so long as they don't put them in a bag. And I don't usually think that way.

Disney has undercovers posed as tourists. I think it's very safe. And they want facial recognition software and as it is now, cameras everywhere!
