Art of Animation
We are staying here in a few weeks. With a 2 and 5 year old, we aren’t exactly sure what our “routine” will be. Either ending the day after an early dinner or taking a nap break during the day.
A few questions out of curiosity.
What is the tv like? Is it regular channels? Are there free Disney movies? Is there a DVD player?
Do the suites have balconies ?
Are floats, toys, puddle jumpers allowed in the pool?
Is there a Starbucks?

No Starbucks, only at the Park. There is a food court with coffee. They have Disney channels and regular cable. No DVD player. No balconies. You can have puddle jumpers, but no floats that require you to blow air into them (at least that is how it's been in our past stays at Disney's value resorts). Beach balls and pool noodles are allowed.

Re: Art of Animation
There are starbucks in all of the parks. Not sure if there are any in the hotels. Not the ones I've been to.
Never even turned on the TV- great questions about all of that I am curious to hear. Sometimes they play movies outside at the resorts.
Puddle Jumpers are def. allowed at the pools. I don't think big floats are. I'm sure little toys they wont even notice or care about.

Re: Art of Animation
We just got back from a stay at AoA (our third time there). For us, we found it difficult with small kids (19 months, 4, 6 on this past trip) to go back to the parks at night. We usually went back around 2-3 and hit the pool for a bit. Then we had dinner at the food court (eating at the tables outside is so much nicer if it's not too hot) and either hit the pool again or did the playground or arcade. You can also walk over the bridge at eat at Pop Century for variety. It's still just a food court, but they have different selections.
As for the tv they have Disney Jr and a channel that plays old school Mickey cartoons. I don't think they have Nick or anything else. Plus regular network tv of course.
As stated, no balconies, no DVD players. Though there did seem to be hookups if you brought your own...
They have life vests available at all three pools in all different sizes, so if you are flying and don't want to pack puddle jumpers that's an option. We always use their life vests.
One nice thing we did this trip was we did a couple of days where we spent the morning at the hotel and had lunch at the food court. Then we went to the park around 3-4 and stayed for fireworks. It's nice to see the parks at night and this way it wasn't so overwhelming for the kids.
Hope this helps!

Re: Art of Animation
Thanks!
It's hard to figure out exactly how it will go and with picking dining and fast passes so far in advance, its tough.
I don't expect to wat h a lot of TV but if we have a very a five day, I figure it could relax them before bed or if they wake super early.
Great idea on going to parks later. I hadnt considered that. I think its too much for my kids to do entire day into night. They will want a break.
