Art or Music classes for 3 year old (near wantagh)
Hi,
Can anyone recommend an art or music class/school for children around 3-4, that isn't a drop off. Something like a mommy and me. I live in Wantagh so anything near there would be great.

Wantagh Library has several toddler classes that the parents participate in. We used to take the Tot Time classes (2-4 year olds) and I saw in the last newsletter they now have a Toddler Tango class. The story time is a drop off of sorts, they take the kids into the community room and the parents stay in the library itself.
They also have finger painting and Playdoh sessions every so often that are open to all ages. There are special craft classes every so often for specific holidays.

The Tot Time program was very good. I took one of the kids I used to watch there for 2 years. Very hands on. We did music time and there was always a craft project. The teacher was very good.

There's a music together class in Bellmore or Massapequa that runs for like 10 weeks.
Wantagh library has some nice programs too.
There's also Tots on Track in Massapequa.

I've not heard good things about Thinkertots. My friend loved Tots on Track with her 2 kids. The South Shore Mother's Center used to be in Wantagh but they moved recently, I'm not sure where. I know people who were happy there, not sure about since they moved.
My kids take a drop off art class at Paint Me A Picture on Merrick Rd on the Wantagh/Bellmore border. I think they might have a Mommy & Me program, I'm not sure.
Wee Friends nursery school has Mommy and Me classes, I LOVE the teacher, she also teaches a 3 yo drop off class. My dd was in her 3yo class last year.

Thank you so much, I was hesitant about that Thinkertots place. I couldn't find any reviews online about it though.

In Bellmore, there is Music Together ! Very Mommy & Me type! We love it & have done it for 5 sessions already!

Not Just Art offers Art Together classes. I think the closest location is at Once Upon a Treetop. www.notjustart.com
Discoveries School on jerusalem Ave in Massapequa also has art classes.
