Aruba Question
I am leaving on Sat. and I just checked the weather there. It says showers for many of the days I will be there.
I thought it didn't rain there much!
If you have been, is it one of those places that rains for 10 minnutes and then the sun shines?? I need some sun!

Re: Aruba Question
You are preggo anyway lol - you can't get THAT much sun. I'd be doing a rain dance if I were you so that DH isn't taking in the rays all day while you're under an umbrella.
What am I going to do without you???
ETA: I was about 12 when I was in Aruba so I don't really remember the weather.

Re: Aruba Question
I just got back from Aruba a week and a half ago-- it was raining when we got off the plane and the drive to our hotel-- after that we saw no rain at all. The forecast leading up to when we were going said scattered showers as all-- I think you have nothing to worry about!
Have fun--- and bring a hat!!

Re: Aruba Question
We went for our honeymoom, and yes, it would rain for a short time, and then dry right up.
One of my favorite memories was laying out by the pool with drinks, and it was so HOT, and then this beautiful cool drizzle started. Everybody but us ran inside. We just layed on our lounges holding hands and enjoyed every second.

Re: Aruba Question
I was there years ago, beautiful island! It didn't rain at all when we went (also in May btw)... but I have to be honest, I would rather be in rainy Aruba than in NY on a day like today

Re: Aruba Question
We went on our honeymoon and it did rain a little almost every day. But....it was the tail end of hurricane season.
Some days it lasted 10 minutes, some days maybe 30 minutes, but we got out on the beach every day. I wouldn't worry - I am sure you'll have plenty of sun
Have fun! We are also going in a few weeks!

Re: Aruba Question
I was there in 11/2004 for my HM when it actually did rain every day where the streets and beaches totally flooded. The good news is they said that was the first and last time that ever happened so you should be fine!
Have a great time and take lots of pics

That's when I was there too! But like I said, we still got out on the beach for at least a little while each day.....

Re: Aruba Question
I was also in Aruba this past January. The weather forecast said the same thing like you are saying now. It will rain like for 10 minutes and then the sun will be out for the whole day. And it sometimes rain there by spots....we rented a jeep because we wanted to do things at our pace and we toured the island...and we will drive by one section and then go to another place and the sun will be out. One morning we went to the lighthouse and it was raining...then we went to Baby Beach for snorkeling and it was beautiful there. I wouldn't worry about it. I'm so jealous....I wish I was going..... Have a Great Time !!!!

Re: Aruba Question
If it rains,,it doesnt last long..Before we left, I checked and I freaked because I saw rain in the forecast..I worried for nothing
Make sure you get a hut, you will some shade because the sun is VERY VERY strong in Aruba. Also, your able to rent rafts on the beach and the water is so gorgeous you can lay on the raft all day long..
Have a great time and use sunblock...
