As your baby gets older, do you bathe them more often or less often?
I feel like Ellie gets much messier now with the baby food and real food she eats so I'm having a harder time keeping her clean. As soon as I wash her hair next thing I know she smooshing blueberry into it! But at the same time, (a) it's winter and it's so dry inside and out, and (b) they have this delicate skin so I'm wondering how often do you/did you bathe your 9 month old?

In the winter, Michael gets a bath every other night... it used to be every night until I noticed his skin started to look like mine as a kid, lol... not good... anyway, now he gets every other night. In the summer, depending on how dirty he is (because he plays outside a lot) he gets a bath every night...
On days he doesn't get a bath, I make sure his butt is nice and clean and I wash him up in the bathroom - hands and face...
I don't think I answered your question, did I? lol

In the winter Julia gets a bath every other day, she has such dry skin. In the summer its hard cause shes outside playing, and in the pool w/ sunblock on so I usually have to give her a bath every night, I just put a lot of lotion on her.

My son is almost 2 and I still bathe him every other night. His skin gets dry if I do it more. In the summer if he is all sweaty or goes in the pool then I will give him a bath more often.

Sofia gets a bath 3x week (at most). she has extremely dry skin so unless she is super duper dirty then we keep the baths at 3x/wk.
Typically I wipe her face with a washcloth and make sure her butt area is nice and clean.

I am no help at all because we have to bathe Andrew every 2 weeks. He has very sensitive skin and very bad excema. I wipe him down if he gets messy (which he rarely does) but that is it. I do not believe in bathing a child everyday. Or even every other day. JMO Esp when they are younger then our DC.

I would say I do it more frequently now--especially in the summer. She HATED the bath for the first year of life anyhow and as a result, I hated bathing her.
Currently, I aim for every other day, which usually means every 3rd day!

Every night as part of her bedtime routine. I was washing her hair every other day but now she keeps rubbing her hair while she's eating so sometimes I wash it everyday...

I agree- she doesn't really get dirty at 2 months old. She only gets a bath once a week and I spot clean her with the sensitive wipes if she spits up on herself. I find her skin to be so soft and she never gets the slightest diaper rash- no redness at all.

Re: As your baby gets older, do you bathe them more often or less often?
When he was a newborn I only bathed him once per week at first, then slowly increased that to 2 - 3 time per week. Once he started crawling though, it was all over. Bath every night since then.

at 10.5 months I still bathe him 2 times a week sometimes, once on the weekend and then once durning the week. His skin is dry and the water makes it worse.

I'm sorry, but what do you mean by this? Is it a religion or something? DD loves her bath and she doesn't have dry skin so I don't see what the problem would be...

Re: As your baby gets older, do you bathe them more often or less often?
Andrew is nearly 3 and he gets a bath every other night in the winter and spring/summer, every night, sometimes more!
Lauren is 10 months, and I try and do it every other night, but sometimes its every 3-4 days. This is because she has sensitive skin like me and she has patches of exzema all over....

I bathe my son every day, during winter I just put a little cream on him and I have a humidifier in every room so his skin never gets dryed out.

More! As DD started to crawl, she would get dirtier, and than eating solid foods she is always a mess.

Nate is 21 months and gets a bath every other night in the winter and every day during the summer. On the days he doesn't get a bath, I wipe him down with a washcloth.

Now that she's feeding herself, I have to bathe her every, single night. She had orange hair tonight because she was eating a sweet potato and then was twirling her hair from sleepiness at the same time

I have always given Roman a bath every night since he was a newborn but just recently started every other night. With this horrific cold weather we've been having his poor little skin is dry and bumpy even with the aquaphor
