At 14 months should he still be getting up

between 4 and 5am for a CUP of milk??? He's off the bottle. Luckily 95% of the time he'll go back to sleep until 7 or 8, but I'm starting to have trouble falling back to sleep and I'm soooo sleepy by the end of the week. This is KILLING me. I never dreamed I'd still be doing this at 14 months.

Am I the only one?

Any words of advice?

Sorry - this is all I have for you Chat Icon

I don't think he should be getting up that early for milk. What happens if you don't give it to him?

I would say that at 14 months, DS should not need to be getting up for milk at that time anymore. I think we were done with this at around 7 months with DS.

We used CIO back then to get DS to sleep.

Nope! And thats why we did CIO b/c with formula I could justify that it was his food and he needed it, but milk is just a drink and he can have it when he wakes up at 7am (or whatever)Chat Icon

Most times I try to let him CIO for 10 minutes. It's really 50/50 whether or not he goes back to sleep. He's gone back and slept until 7 only a handful of times, most of the time IF he goes back to sleep its until 6am.

I only go in if he wont' stop crying or is really hysterical. Lately he's been pretty bad again. This morning he started at 4, and would go back to sleep, and wake up every 10 minutes and cry again. I let it go on until 4:40 and then I was like let me just get up so we can all get some sleep.

Is 10 minutes long enough to CIO if he's crying pretty bad?
