At 33weeks how big is or was your baby

i just got back from my sono app and the lady there was like your bbay is very big. i am 33w3days and my baby is already 51/2 pounds and have 8 weeks to go.

At 32 weeks my son was 4 1/2 lbs - and he was born at 9lbs 14ozs (He came two weeks late though)

Two days before I had him the tech did a growth sono and swore that he was "8.5-9lbs....and not an ounce over".....She was WRONG!

They aren't always correct and can be up/down by a pound I've heard.

Mine was estimated at 5lb, 6oz at 31w, 6d which is exceptionally large. But, don't go so much by the weight since they can't be 100% on that, it's a formula they devised looking at the measurements.

Did they give you the percentiles? That's more in keeping with what it is at the time. My moose is in the 90th-100th percentile for every single measurement. That's when I started to freak out

Mine is a little over 4lbs, I am 31.5 weeks

He was measuring 4 1/2 at 33 weeks and they predicted he'd be 6 1/2 to 6-10. We were like, no way! We were both big babies and he'll be bigger...well, he was born 6-10. But I did a poll on the parenting board at the time, and I found answers all over the place about the growth sono estimates and their predictions...some were right on and some were really off.

At 34wks my was 5pds10oz. I go for another sono on the 16th so we will see how much she grew.
Lots of people tell me that I am huge but I am all belly.

I had a sono at 33w4d and she was estimated to be 4lbs 10 oz. She was born 12 days later - at 35w2d - weighing 5lbs even.

Mine was 4.1 at 33 weeks and a couple of days. i think my baby is going to be on the smaller side though. The dr. estimated around 6.5 lbs.

That early my Dr wouldnt tell me the estimate weight because she felt it was too unreliable.

At 38 weeks my DS was estimated to be 9lbs 1 oz, at 39w 5 days they estimated 9lbs 4ozs he was born on his due date and was 9lbs 14ozs. The only reason my Dr even sent me for the growth sonos was because I have a family history of large babies, and my son was head down, but was not moving into position. I think he was just too big!

Unless you go to a specialist I think the margin of error is +/- 1 pound which is alot. So I wouldnt worry at about what they are saying at this point!

They told me 79th percentile at 31wks, but I have no idea what that translates to. I have GD, so I'm having another growth sono on 1/11 (34wks)- I'm going to ask for a weight- 79th seems on the big side.
