At the end of the month (take 2)
When everything is paid at the end of the month - mortgage, utilities, general bills (car payments, insurance, food, etc.), how much money do you have left over?
I am NOT expecting individual answers, you can do it anonymously in the poll
Thanks!

Re: At the end of the month (take 2)
Currently, we're basically tapped out by the end of the month.
In a few years, we'll have a large portion of our current outstanding debt paid off so at that point it will be very different. But as for now, it's pretty tight.

Re: At the end of the month (take 2)
varies alot based on the month- my DH doesn't have a set salary
but I personally put money aside into saving everything- so I answered based on that

it varies on the month, but most of DH's paychecks go into savings at the end of the month.

Re: At the end of the month (take 2)
our salaries pay the bills but DH's commission is usually not spent. I don't know if that qualifies as savings but we do have that left over at the end of the month.

I know.
This is what we are dreading about buying a house. I feel that we're not going to be able to save much and still continue to have a "normal" lifestyle!!

Well certainly in the beginning things may be alittle different but once you get set up and used to paying all the bills and get on some sort of budget, you'll see, it get easier.
Our situation is somewhat different than most as DH's salary is NEVER the same per month so there are some months that the cup runneth over, those are the months we save. The months that are not as profitable, we don't save as much.

Re: At the end of the month (take 2)
Based on our current finances, we should be putting away over $2500. However, this isn't happening. We're spending way too much.
