At what age did your child stop drinking from a bottle

Just curious....anyone have a 1 year old still on bottles only? Matteo is not interested in the sippy at all. Any advice or tips welcome. Thanks!

Lauren is on all sippy's, except I still give her the bottle before bed. I am not sure how it will go if she doesn't get one. She goes to bed so easily with one I hate to see what she will do with out one. Our pedi said to try and wean by 15 months, her next visit, since she seems to do the sippy well. Not sure I am ready for that!

Ava's 11.5 months and we're just about off the bottle. I found that the playtex ones with the soft straw are her favorite ones. I think she thinks it's a bottle

Since about 10 months I've been using both and he could care less, he has no preference. I should just get rid of the bottles. But he only gets 2 bottles/cups a day b/c I bf, maybe that's why he is not overly attached. Sorry for rambling.

13 months
Don't really have any advice, one day I just packed em up and he never missed them.

around 13 months. I tried all kinds of sippy cups and he didn't really like any of them. I finally got a cup with a straw and he loved it! I gradually started eliminating the bottle during the day followed by the morning and night bottles.

1 year. (Yes, I'm the mean mommy)

Once they were switched over to milk, I dropped it down to sippy cup, bottle 1-2x a day (morning, night). They could only have water from the bottle, milk from the sippy cup. They preferred the milk.

1 year and she didn't like it at first and gave me a little fight but after a week it was fine.

Andrew was off bottles until he got sick Then the sippy cup was too hard for him to suck out of so I had to switch back to bottles or else he wouldn't drink anything.

I hope he will go back easily after he is sick

Brendan is 14 months old and has been drinking from mostly just the sippy cup since 1 year. I still give him a bottle here and there and I should really stop since he doesn't seem to care.

Roman is 15 months and still has a morning and night bottle. I think I may have been misreading him all along thinking he really wanted a bottle because he would scream BA BA BA BA but I think since his vocabulary is limited he would say that but want something else. Up until a few days ago he was still on 4 bottles a day.

Julia is 15 months - i plan to banish those bottles this week.....going to speak to the peditrician today at her 15 month appt - i think she is ready - even though she has put up a fight in the past and thrown them on the floor when she sips the milk from them - but im ready to get rid of them.

By 14-15 months she only used sippys

I just posted yesterday, Peyton is 15 months today and I took her off of the bottle cold turkey this weekend. She didn't even seem to notice and she's sleeping through the night whereas last week I was getting up every night to give her milk.

Since she was 11 months. Once I weaned her, I only give her abottle in the morning because she sometimes makes a mess wiht a sippy cup and we bring her into bed with us for her first bottle.

I have no clue how to get him to drink from a sippy, he just won't do it. Once he drank from my water bottle, last week, but that was it!

I just got one of those Nuby bottles that look like a sippy but have a nipple, just to see what he'd do..he won't even try that. So stubborn!

my ds - 19 months - is SO STUBBORN! We have finally moved from the Dr. Brown's to the Nuby cups with the handles and bottle nipple and that was a HUGE step for him. Occassionally he will take a few sips from another sippy cup but he will completely freak if I try to give him anything other than a bottle at nap time and bedtime.

He drinks water/juice wonderfully from just about any sippy cup, so it is not his ability to drink from the sippy (which is a diff type of flow) he just prefers the bottle for milk.

DS is a really really bad eater so I can't justify refusing milk from anything but the sippy as he really doesn't eat somedays...

My DS is 17 months and still has 3 bottles a day. He drinks water and juice from his sippy cup though too. I know I should prob get rid of them soon, since he really can take them or leave them. Never cries for one.. but i'm just not ready yet.
