At what age do you stop the middle of the night bottle?
and is this even considered a middle of the night bottle ?
Jack (4 1/2 months) normally sleeps 8 - 5, eats goes back to sleep or plays quiet in the crib until 7 - 7:30.
He doesn't usually cry he just talks and plays, but if I don't feed him he won't go back to sleep and is a cranky mess all day. If I feed him he'll go back to sleep.
Is 5am considered "middle of the night" or do I have to live with 5am wake up calls until he decides to cut me a break.
See I'm VERY grateful he's a good sleeper, but I need to get up for work around 6:15 and since I get up at 5 to feed him I can't go back to sleep and I'm really tired at work. Selfish, I know.
OH and last night he drank 7 oz at 6pm another 7 at 7:30 and then woke up at 3 for another bottle. He actually cried! What's with the sudden 3am wake up??

The 3am is probably a growth spurt.
As for the 5am bottle, we used to have the same problem and it never resolved itself. I was doing it until he was on milk and then I just refused because milk is not formula!

I would not consider a 5am bottle a middle of the night bottle. It's an early morning bottle.
