At what point can u start to enjoy the pregnancy?
Im tired of being toliet paper inspector. Im tired of feeling that every cramp is going to mean the end. OR feel guilty that i am depriving my child nutrients. Im just soooo scared something is going to go wrong. What can i do to enjoy this pregnancy. Prior MC really has me scared for life. And to think the fear is never really gone untill the baby is officially here

well, from one perspective, we'll be worrying even when our kids are in college... it doesn't ever really end...
but from the pregnancy perspective, I was very tense until my level II, becuase I was worried about my cervix (since it's never been challenged by pregnancy before now), and I was also worried about developmental issues.
soon after the level II, Scone began to kick... and THAT really calmed my nerves. I now know he's ok in there. we can communicate with each other 
even with the GD and the high BP, as long as he's kicking regularly, I know he's ok.

I feel you on the TP inspector thing. I have been a little crazy since I found out I was preggo. Both my sisters' had MC and one of them told me after having one its tough to not to feel scared that what if this pregnancies doesn't continue.
My advice to her was try and enjoy it, I know its easier said and done. Thats what I keep telling my self.

I don't think the worry ever goes away!! At least for me it hasn't. I have felt a lot better since entering my 2nd trimester. I still get scared every time I go to the doctor that there will be no heart beat.

I started to relax a little more once I felt flutters. I also started enjoying pregnancy once I began feeling better, which was a few weeks into the second trimester.

I would say right around 20 weeks. I started to feel them move and it is very reassuring. I still check the TP though I am almost 26 weeks

For some of us, the worrying will never stop but you need to learn how to enjoy the pregnancy in spite of all your fears.
I went to the hospital at 38 weeks because I hadn't felt her move in 6 hours. I was fine. She was crammed in there. Also, now that she is here and I see what a sound sleeper she is I realize why she didn't even respond to my pokes and jabs.
Point is, at this stage of pregnancy, there is a slim to none chance of something happening and for me the second half went WAY faster than the first half so please, try to enjoy it. It will be over so fast!

OMG i could have written this myself!! I am a nervous wreck over here. Im only 5 weeks PG. Last week when i got my BFP i was SOOOO excited. But now every time i go to the bathroom and dont see blood, i hold my heart and say "thank you god".
I hate this feeling of the "when is the other shoe gonna drop"?

Once I got past the MS, I would say I really started enjoying my pregnancy, I've loved it the whole time, but it has it's moments. I'd definitely say the 2nd trimester is when you will really start to "enjoy". I don't think the fear ever goes away until the baby arrives, then you have a whole new set of fears, comes with the territory of being a mommy. Just relax and focus on the fun stuff, working on the nursery etc.

I'm feeling the same- I actually sent DH out yesterday to dollar general to buy some HPTs b/c I wanted to see how dark the line was. I feel fine, very few symptoms, so I keep thinking it must have "gone away!"
Happily, the line was nice and dark. I see the doc tomorrow, so maybe I'll feel better after that...

To be honest, I am still nervous. Feeling her moving around obviously makes it a lot easier...but I guess I never realized how scary this whole process could be.
I am trying to just enjoy this time, b/c I know that it is such a short period of time when you think about it.

Last pregnancy I asked the same to DH...like just a hypothetical quesiton, not that he'd know the answer. His answer:
"You are going to worry about this baby until the day you die"
 He is 100% right

OMG... I'm right there with you. I'm about 5 weeks now too and every time I go to the bathroom I look down in the toilet, at my panties and on the toilet paper to make sure there's no blood. I'll feel better next week when I have my first Doc appt

I was a TP inspector for all 9 months.
But you may start to relax during your second trimester. That's when I did. Once the movement begins it helps too... until they're too big to move, and then you start worrying all over again.

18 weeks and still check the toilet paper, even when I get up in the middle of the night. I would normally just keep the light off but I turn it on just to check. The worrying is still everyday, but I am more comfortable now physically than I was in my first trimester.
