at what point does your belly go back to "normal" after you deliver the baby?
i noticed that you still seem to have a significant pregnant looking belly after delivering the baby.
at what point does it go back down?
give or take a few inches of course...

I've heard a few months for most people. I guess it depends on how much you gained, how flat your stomach was before, etc. It's not uncommon though to still look pregnant after you have the baby from what I understand.

I've seen people whose stomach seemed to go back to normal in a week or 2, and others that took a year, and others whose never went back. I think it depends on a lot of factors.

not cool! i mean, i dont expect my stomach to go back to it's exact original size but... i dont want to look pregnant 6months after the baby...
It does go down...and it can take a while.
Basically and not saying that I have done this. Im sure diet and excercise would make the belly look a lot better in less time.
By 6 months I would say its was down a lot but here I am 15 months later and i still have a pouch

i need to end my subscription of US weekly magazine.
it feels like every month they showcase celeb moms that shed the baby weight and they look as if they were never pregnant!
i know they prob. do it in an unhealthy way.. plus they have access to trainers/chefs..
but still

This is what I looked like the week I delivered and then less then one week postpartum. If that helps And then by a month I was pretty much back to normal. Image Attachment(s):

My friend said they told her it takes close to 2 weeks just for the uterus to go back down. The weight is another thing. So I would imagine we'll look preggo for about 2 weeks PP.

They also have access to plastic surgeons.
I know that BFing also helps for the tummy to go down faster - it stimulates the uterus to contract and also burns a lot of calories.

I saw my friend about a week after giving birth and she still had a belly. A couple of weeks later and it had gone down considerably. A couple more weeks and it was practically flat again. She was really thin to begin with .
