At your 5-6 week PP check up...
I just saw a post that made me curious. Did your doc actually check you?
Mine didn't... she just asked me how I was doing, feeling, how the bleeding was, stitches, etc. It was quick.

it might have been so long ago that I have completely forgotten but I was pretty sure that she did an annual exam at my 6 week because I didn't go back for another year after.

Yes we talked about that too, but no exam. Maybe they do things differently down here in FL.

i had an internal (she checked to make sure the stitching was good and to make sure everything was "good") and then did a breast exam. She also asked questions and talked about birth control. Next appt is in 6 mos

Had a quick look at my 6 week appt. And my 4 month PP appt will be considered my annual - being roughly 12 months since the last pap.

No exam here too- he just 'looked' but didn't do anything internal. I was kind of surprised by that myself!

I had my 2 week PP follow-up (for csection) and all my OB did was make googley eyes at  and check my incision -- and proceed to tell me how ridiculously proud he was of his work. the man basically did a tap dance!! my incision is SOOO low that he called it a vaginal c-section

I had an internal and the doctor checked my incision. Since I'm BFing, he also checked to make sure everything was ok with my breasts.

Same here. I was not ready for it, and I really wish I would have known ahead of time. I was still super sensitive and I nearly jumped off the table

I had a very low incision, too...and my 2-week checkup went much the same way. She was so proud, I'm surprised she didn't have the other docs come in to ogle at me
