Attention All Mommy's....
How long did you wait after you were married to get preggers? And, if it was not an accident  what were your reasons for waiting or not waiting?
Just curious???

Well... we had a HM baby so we basically got pregnant in the blink of an eye...it was a total surprise.
We had wanted to wait and our reasons for waiting were that since we chose not to LTBM, we wanted to enjoy a couple of years alone as a married couple to travel and party like newlyweds.

Well I'm not a mommy yet- but I will be in April. We were married a year before we got pregnant. We had been together 6 years before we got pregnant. It was planned- but we were surprised it happened so fast. We thought it would take some time, but we got pregnant on the first try.

We were married November 2003 and we're due in June...so 2 years before we got pregnant 
We wanted to enjoy the first couple of years by ourselves, and we wanted to buy a house before the baby came. We should be closing next month, so we're cutting it close but still really excited.

Married almost 3 years...then had little Jared. We wanted to go on vacation before having a baby...and that's just what we did.

I am not a mommy yet - but will be in May.
We were married in Oct 2004, were trying since then and finally got pregnant in Sept.
We did not want to wait. I was out of work and we thought this would be the best time.

We got married July 2004 and found out I was pg 2 months later. Totally not the plan bc we wanted to wait two years, but now he's here can't image life any other way.

I'm in the mommy-2-B category..
We waited about 3 years before TTC. We wanted to enjoy being married awhile, travel, move back to NY, and buy a house before we started with babies.
We'll be married 4 years by the time he/she arrives

We were married about 9 months. We waited because we were living in Ireland and I didn't want the baby to be born too much before we were scheduled to move home. It worked out perfect. He was born 3/31 and we moved home 5/25.

Married one year - got pregnant both times on the first true try (before that I was the only one trying).
Not an accident, did the ovulation calendar on webmd.com & the ovulation tests. I had a friend that tried for 5 years before they classified her as having a problem - I wasn't taking any chances. Luckily I didn't have to.

We were married 11 months when i get pregnant. We just decided that since i was 29, and he was 30 it was time to start a family. We didnt think it would happen so fast, but the first time trying, it took! Baby Jacob will be here in 6 weeks....

Got pregnant 7 months before our wedding date (obviously an accident). Ended up having a small ceremony 2 months later and keeping the large ceremony for the family to celebrate. Even though it was an accident, we had planned on TTCing right away.

we got pregnant 4 months after getting married. It was planned - but a surprise that we got pregnant on the first try...we figured it would take a while. We have been together for 5 years - we have done a lot together, vacationed, bought a house, etc... so it just seemed right. In hindsight maybe I wish we had a little more time just the two of us, but I have no regrets, I love my daughter, Love being a family and couldn't imagine it any other way.

Got married in March 04 and got pregnant 1 and a half years later. We had traveled and brought our own place so the timing was right.

We were married over three years when I got pregnant. We had purchased soon after marriage a house that was a total gut job. So basically the first 3 years was spent fixing the house, working like mad dogs, having no money and the occassional on/off separation due to family interference. It was a very stressful time and I never thought we would be this far. She was sort of a "let's see what happens" since I didn't want to wait much more into my 30's to get pregnant.

We started trying 4 years after we got married and our daughter was born 5 years and 2 months after we were married. We wanted another 5 years to get pregnant again. My kids are 5 years-2 months apart.

We had a honeymoon baby... I came into the marriage with my son (he was 2 1/2 at the time) and we owned a house and were very stable and we felt ready for another one.
ETA - my son from my first marriage was a total surprise, we got married when he was about 6 months old, what a mistake marrying that idiot was
