aug/sept momies - coming home outfit
are you making sure that your coming home outfit is long sleeved/long pants. i have so many cute little summer outfits but are short sleeves or skirt/shorts - is it better to have the baby coming home all covered up? obviously i have blankets and all - but im just wondering
< i ask this bc i have two outfits prepared for one is a cute little purple - shorts and short sleeve onesie the other is a layette (i think thats what it is) lol) ------ but my MIL says OH NO YOU CANT BRING HER IN THAT - she needs to be all covered up in long sleeves..............

The outfit I have is a dress and it's a tank, no sleeves I have a blanket and the boy outfit I have is short sleeved again, the blanket will be fine for them.

Re: aug/sept momies - coming home outfit
DS was born in August and came home in a short sleeve outfit. It was almost 100 degrees when he was born. DD is scheduled to come 9/30 so she will be in long sleeves. I also got her a sweater.

's outfit is a little onesie that is short sleeved and had shorts. It comes with a matching blanket and hat. If it is a chilly day I will put a little sweater over his outfit.

Re: aug/sept momies - coming home outfit
due in 2 weeks & outfit is a onesie that is short sleeved & shorts. I do have a long sleeve & long pants outfit in case it is chilly but I highly doubt it

Re: aug/sept momies - coming home outfit
DD $#1 was born in August and I brought 2 outfits to take her home in. One was a long sleeve sleeper with feet and the other was a cute short sleeve onsie. When I was changing her the nurse noticed and suggested I put her in the long sleeve outfit because of going in and out of the car with the AC on so I put her in that. I am having DD#2 next week and have a long sleeve sleeper to bring her home in but I may get a short sleeve onsie with pants to bring also just in case its real hot.

Re: aug/sept momies - coming home outfit
I am very upset about this. I have my boy coming home outfit, but my girl coming home out fit, I gave to the church this morning. I was nesting and getting rid of all the old clothes I didn't need. Even if this baby is a girl, I can't use most of my early clothes (0-3/ 3-6) b/c the seasons are totally off. By mistake I mixed in the coming home outfit I used for both my DD's and put it in the going to the church bag. So upset! I do have a brand new coming home outfit for a girl but it's not the one my Dd's wore and that makes me a little sad.
sorry for rambling.

Re: aug/sept momies - coming home outfit
I'm delivering next week and I have two outfits picked out: one newborn and the other 0-3 mos, depending on if he's as big as they are estimating.
Both outfits ares short sleeve, one piece short outfits. Both have matching socks, one outfit also has a matching hat. I'll bring a light receiving blanket to cover him in case we have a cold day in August!

Re: aug/sept momies - coming home outfit
the nurses when I had DD said you should dress her in 1 extra layer than you are wearing.
She was born last August. I dressed her in long sleeves, a hat and socks, no blanket. Days after that I felt okay just leaving her in a onesie all day b/c we didnt have AC on, the house was pretty warm. So if she is going to be in AC (hospital, car, house) then I would dress her in long sleeves
