Hey girls!!
Ok, I didn't think I was 'emotional' until I read this post and here I am tearing! It is so great to read all of this good news!!
We just got our BFP yesterday. I'm calling the Dr. tomorrow for an appt. I was hoping he could see me Tuesday, but by reading some of these response, it seems like he might make me wait? I really wanted my confirmation from him before Christmas...I'm going to beg him if I have to lolz.
According to some Due Date Calculators, my EDD would be August 30th, but I won't know for sure until I see my Dr.
I went and picked up a few things that my mom needed for gifts..so I put a HUGE red bow on my stomach and then put one of DHs hoodies on over it. I went down with the bag of gifts and took them out of the bag one by one and told her who I picked them up for...and then I said I have one more early one for you and unzipped the hoodie. She literally jumped around, was shaking and squeeling lolz
We did the bow thing with all my my little brothers and my dad too and they were all thrilled.
We wanted to go to his family and my older brother to tell them in person but the snow was too bad, so we called them all telling them we had a christmas present but we wanted to tell them about it now and that it would arrive 8 months later (most of them got it at this point lolz)
DH told his dad by saying "You have to clear up some of your weekends in about 8 months because we're going to need a babysitter" ...
It's unreal!

And I was surprised by the doctor's wanting to wait a little while before you came in. I always thought it was you take a test and run right in. ha ha! Shows how little I know. Seems they like you to be 8 weeks.... to basically miss about 2 periods. I SO can't wait for my first appt!! 1 week from today!! Usually I HATE the dr and never go. this is the first time I look forward to it!! not so much the violation part... but I need to make sure everything is OK. I have some anxiety about it and I get nightmares.

another August mommy! According to the charts EDD is 8/12. My DS will be 2 on 8/14 so Ill be 2 under 2 for a few days. My first appointment is 12/30 and so far we have not told anyone. Christmas is going to be very hard but I want to wait until things are confirmed... so many August mommies. Looking forward to chatting with all of you..

HI everyone, hope everyone enjoyed their holidays 
I had my first appt on 12/17 and she said I was really early (around 4-4.5 weeks)... Im going back the first week of January for another sono.
I dont have an exact due date but all the calendars are pointing to 8/21

Hi ladies! Hope everyone had a great holiday! I saw the doc on Christmas Eve and we were able to see the heartbeat!! It was amazing and exciting! My due date is now August 20 so please add me to the list!!!!

Hi everyone! I got my BFP on December 5. I am 8 weeks today and feeling very fine. So far I have no morning sickness(I did not have any morning sickness with DD). My EDD is August 9. I have an appointment today so I am hoping to hear the heartbeat. Yay!

Hi as of now I am due August 10th! Its been a bit of roller coaster ride for me. I was told I was going to m/c then I was told things look ok! I did see a hearrtbeat at six weeks and I am going back again this wee when I should be 8 weeks. I hope I can join you!!!

Is anyone starting to show yet? I'll be 10 wks tomorrow and I'm definitely getting fluffy around the middle. My pants are getting tight. Could be all the carbs I've been eating

Once again my date was changed, now to August 3rd and that's what they put on my chart! LOL So, any other Aug 3rd due mommies? What hospitals are you delivering at? Maybe we'll see other! We'll be at NSUH!!! Good luck to us! BTW, I am definitely starting to show!

Hi Everyone! New to the board!
I am also due in August (late August around the 28th but not def. yet)
This is also my first pregnancy and I'm extremly nervous and excited!! It's very comforting to see so many others due in August so we can all share stories about what's going on! I have my 2nd Dr appt on Tues 1/5 and hopefully we can see a heartbeat!

Is that Northshore? if so I am. but i'm not due Aug 3rd. I'm due the 9th... to the 16th. haha!! so if I go early... i'll be there with you!!!

do any of you have morning sickness yet? Mine lasts like all day everyday...ugh... I hope it goes away after the first trimester... it started this week.. I'm about 7 weeks now.

Yes, I will be delivering at North Shore! We might all get to be with one another in the same room, because from what I'm hearing from people and reading on here, the room situation there is horrible. Pray for us! LOL

Morning sickness set in for me on Friday.....comes right about 11am and lasts for a while! Ginger ale has been helping a lot! I hear morning sickness is a great sign though, so consider it a blessing!!
