August Girls - Question RE: Team Green
When the time comes - are you staying Team Green or are you finding out?
DH and I are SUCH planners that I want to know ASAP! I am so beyond impatient and had a little bout of anxiety when I just saw my ticker change over to 217 days...
I had SO much more time to plan our wedding which felt like it took forever and that was just for ONE day.. and this is a baby that we will get to keep forever

Re: August Girls - Question RE: Team Green
in theory - i would LOVE to stay team green.. but i am such a planner and i need things to be perfect. i would want the nursery to be finished down to the very last knick knack.. i am just so not a fan of gender neutral stuff.
lol if i was rich and had two extra bedrooms and can make two nurseries one for a boy and one for a girl then maybe - but i don't think that's gonna happen!

Re: August Girls - Question RE: Team Green
soo finding out. we didnt' even consider being team green for one second.
i want to be able to SHOP and I want my mom and others to be able to SHOP! yea you can buy the green and yellow... but I find the super cute stuff is just very sex oriented... it's either girly or boyish.
Also my mom would kill me if i didn't find out. shes dying to know so she can find tons of stuff.

Re: August Girls - Question RE: Team Green
I am such a planner but I think we are going to stay team green. We plan on painting the nursery two colors with a chair rail so the top will be a tannish color and the bottom will match the bedding but my dad will finish the nursery after the baby is born and my mom will know which bedding to get me once the baby is here. We shall see if I can stick it out.

Re: August Girls - Question RE: Team Green
We def plan on finding out! Everyone keeps trying to talk me into staying team green, but I feel like its comforting to know that since I will already have my hands full, I won't have anything extra to do, like decorating the room girly or boyish. I like knowing that will all be done!

Re: August Girls - Question RE: Team Green
If we didn't already know the genders prior to getting pregnant (IF treatments, genetic testing on the embryos), we would be finding out at the Level II sono.
Even though I'm only 7 weeks pregnant, we already know for certainty what the genders are for the babies.

Re: August Girls - Question RE: Team Green
I plan on staying team green. It is still early but I am REALLY going to try! I think it will be so exciting to find out when the baby is born. However, it is definitely frustrating as far as planning/decorating. I think I might try to do a champagne/ivory nursery with gender accents once the baby is born. My mom had a good point...as much as a I would want to do a boy or girl nursery....good bedding/drapes/accents can be EXTREMELY pricey so if you plan something that is gender neutral and accent after they baby is born, then you might not have to buy 2 bedding sets down the road. It is definitely going to be hard not finding out though!

Re: August Girls - Question RE: Team Green
We are DEFINITELY staying team!!! I know it's very hard, especially for me because I like everything to be perfect and planned out! Oh well, we will do the nursery in gender/neutral colors, and add when the baby is born! We plan on doing a chair rail with a color on top and another on the bottom. During labor, I think if you don't know, it actually gives you something even more to look forward to. The excitement of not knowing will make it easier I think! LOL At least that's what I'm telling myself :)
