This is truly sad, regardless of where you stand on the vaccine issue, you hope that people like this in a position to examine such critical and impactful information have some integrity with what they are doing. This is precisley the kind of thing that causes people to question what they are being told. Really, really sad......

This isn't really a "news" story - it's a press release put out by a group that is anti-vaccine. Even the CNBC link (I was able to follow it; it just had one too many "http" in the hyperlink) is just their press release.

There are many news sites with this story. I don't understand how that is not news. It's not an opinion that Thorsen was indicted.

Yeah, but Wakefield was guilty of the same: Fraud and accepting money from a lawyer representing the parent cases to prove the connection between mercury and autism.

Unfortunately it's not surprising to me. I dont trust the drug companies and I certainly dont trust the CDC or AAP. They will sell whatever makes them money.

I believe this is in regards to the MMR. There are several parents on the special needs board who's children have been diagnosed with PDD or autism and had/have not received the MMR vaccine. My son is not on the spectrum but has various delays and he did not get the MMR until a month before his 4th birthday so I know that particular vaccine played no role.
However, ALOT of parents are questioning the DTaP vaccine and unfortunately because of all the focus on the MMR, it is not being researched or questioned.

It was never proven that the MMR or any other vaccine does not cause autism. All that was publicized was that one Dr.'s study that said there was a correlation was disproven.
