I'm going Saturday and having a student do my mop. I figure they can't do anything worse to it than what it looks like nowChat Icon

Has anyone been? Any suggestions about a new do? My hair is 2 layers, one chin one almost shoulder length and the top layer of hair is so fried and dry even tho I stopped dying it over a year agoChat Icon

I used to go to the Carsten (aveda) salon in Union Square, but I never had my hair done by the students. I used to have a girl named Brianna do my cut and color, and she did a great job. I don't go there anymore because I moved back to LI. I don't have any experience with the students, even though they had the school inside the salon.

Post pics when you are back!

an interesting, LONG experience, 2.5 hrs for a wash, cut and blow oy! costs $20. the teachers come around 2x to check what the student is doing. mine was tedious about cutting my hair 1/2 inchChat Icon

good thing i didnt have anything else to do yesterday, and afterward dh and i walked around san genaro which was fun.

overall a decent haircut, took too long, but for a cheapskate like me it was fine.

i took a pic but dh has the camera on a fishing trip today so i'll post when he gets back.
