AWESOME garlic mashed potatoes!
My sister made these at Christmas and they were really good!
Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 45 Minutes Ready In: 1 Hour
Yields: 10 servings
INGREDIENTS:
5 pounds unpeeled red potatoes, quartered
13 ounces butter, room temperature
5 ounces Romano cheese, grated, (or use romano, parmesan, asiago mix)
1/4 cup chopped garlic
2-1/2 teaspoons salt
2-1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/2 small package cream cheese
Some heavy cream to thin out a little
DIRECTIONS:
1.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 45 minutes; drain. Add garlic when there are 5 minutes left to boil, this helps soften it up. Stir in butter, cream cheese, cheeses, salt and oregano. Mash with a potato masher or with an electric mixer.

It is so yummy!!!! My Dh begs me to make them all the time.

They sound good - then again anything with 13 ounces of butter has to be good - that's nearly a pound of butter!

That's for five pounds of potatoes though. Yeah, it's still a lot, but butter makes everything better
