B&B on Shelter Island - RAVE
DH and I just spent Sat night at a great B&B on Shelter Island:

If we were to go there, say in April, what would we be able to do? Are there hiking trails or things to see? Is there canoeing or horseback riding? Also, do you have any restaurants to recommend? Ok, that's it for now...thanks!

Never vacationed there, but live and work in the area. There are great hiking opportunities, not sure about canoing, but boating is an option. You can also take the ferry to Sag Harbor, my favorite for great restaurants and shopping!
There are also a ton of local artists and galleries on the island. It's kind of an artist haven. Check out this link

Thanks for posting this! DH and I spent the weekend there and had a fabulous time. Shelter Island is so gorgeous! Definitely want to go back when everything is open.
