B2b IUI question...
What determines if you'll get a b2b IUI? They told me that I don't need another one but how come some people get it? Also do they normally do an ultrasound prior to your first IUI to see how many follicles or to check if you've even ovulated yet? Because I didn't get one today my last one was Tuesday morning. My mind is just driving me nuts because after my IUI this morning I've just been home relaxing, no one here to distract me lol.

I never had an ultrasound prior to my IUI's.
Some RE's like to do b2b IUI's just to increase chances but most do it if your partners sample is not great. A b2b can maximize the amount of swimmers getting there if there's a motility or volume issue.

I had back to back IUI's because my DH's count was really low. They did it to increase our chances. Prior to the IUI's, I got sonograms/ultrasounds at every appointment to see how big the follies were growing.

B2B IUIs are not proven to be more effective than a single IUI. And you don't need a sono, especially if you triggered. The sono before an IUI doesn't show much b/c they want to do the IUI before you O anyway.

This. From what I remember, after an IUI you have a 6 hour window or so to get pregnant. So it has to be timed right and having 2 doesn't help your chances. If your RE has been monitoring you, it should be timed right and you'll only need one.
Some RE's do them (in case the timing is off), some don't (trusting their equipment / your blood work). I think it has to do with the office, not with you.

B2b IUI question...
I'm pretty sure I'm having b2b because they couldn't monitor me like they wanted to on Christmas.
Dh's count was great at 33 mil and 99%motility so that's def not it.
Don't stress! You know your body and you know you didn't O beforehand - it's all in place :) :)

Thanks ladies your responses all make sense. I know the issue lie's within myself. I know you can all relate, this is just something that I want more than anything and after 16 months of trying with no luck I've just became paranoid and obsessed with this whole TTC situation. I find myself questioning the doctors and nurses just because of fear of something getting screwed up and me missing my chance. I remember someone mentioned the other day that IF is a mind f*ck and that's totally true, I couldn't find a better way to explain it myself. I just can't wait until we are all passed this very hard and painful point in our lives!!
