Babi Italia Pinehurst Furniture Espresso @ BRU
We have been going crazy looking online and in the stores at cribs & matching furniture. We went to Behrs last nite and loved some sets, but they were a lil higher than we could spend. We both finally found one set that we kept going back to at BRU, and it was the Pinehurst Collection in Espresso- the lifestyle crib, armoire and dresser/changer. It does seem like it is a nice quality set, and even though the price for the set is more than some of the sets we saw online for less money, after seeing many of the sets in person, it just makes more sense to us to get a set like this that will last longer, and u can get way more use out of.
Has anyone ordered this set from BRU? how was your experience? I would love to hear some reviews on the set if u have it, and how long it took to get the set once u ordered it. Also, if u chose to pick up the pieces, were they too big in your opinion to fit in the back of a large SUV?

I registered for the same set in the lighter color. We are just getting it now. My mom ordered the crib on Thursday and it was in by Saturday. My Aunt ordered the dresser/changer on Sunday...so we'll see when that comes in! I have a Tahoe and the crib box JUST fit! We had to put down both seats in the middle and take out the ones in the back(which are usually out anyway!) It was just very wide. However, it was still worth it to me to pick it up and not spend all that $$ for delivery. DH put it together and said that was super easy! I'll let you know about the other two pieces when they come in!

Hey Kelly - what color did you order it in? Do you happen to have a picture of the crib? We are looking for a light colored crib and I didn't know that this set came in a lighter color!

wow! the crib came in really fast! i was worried that the wait would be months like some horror stories i have heard. we have an explorer with a 3rd row that can go down with the middle seats, maybe it will fit, not sure since the taho is a lil bigger! but we would really like to try and save on the shipping too. thanks for the info on that, and yes, please let me know how the other two pcs are when they come in. feel free to fm me. did u get the hutch too for the dresser? i am leaning towards not getting that, just getting the other pcs.

It did come in really fast!! My mom ordered this week because of the 15% coupon...and who knew it would be in that quickly!! You should be fine with the explorer...it didn't lay flat in my Tahoe...we had to angle it, but there was def room to angle it some more!! So, even in a smaller car, you should be fine. Just be prepared to lay the seats down(I thought I wouldn't need the room and didn't bother to take out my niece's car seat...I had to do it while they were putting it in the car!) Don't waste the $$ on shipping...it's $80 a piece!! We didn't get the hutch...to be honest, I didn't even know there was a hutch!!! But, between the drawers and the armoir...I think that's good!!! I'll let you know as I get the rest in! I'll send some pics!!! Good luck!!

BTW for what it's worth - the BRU here in Virginia told me totday that they accept the Buy Buy Baby 20% of coupons as well - and they can be applied towards furniture.
I would double-check with BRU up in NY as well to see if they have the same policy.

we got that set and we really love it. the boxes are really big so it might be tight fitting them in a large suv...we couldn't fit both in a CRV ...had to make two trips.

My parents are getting us the same crib. I believe its on its way. But since the set is  , we will be looking at dressers in less expensive places like IKEA. We are also getting it in natural color.

Sounds EXACTLY like the convo I had with DH about it...it actually turned into a fight!!! In the end...he realized I was right!  He even carried the crib up the stairs by himself...not heavy at all!

good to know that the crib wasnt that heavy, i'll pass that along to dh. it turned into a lil fight for us too,  he thought it was $80 for all 3 pcs, and when i said it no, that's just for 1 pc, it would be like $240, which we could definitely use that $$$ for other things we need, like an infant car seat, clothes, diapers, etc, or even part of the $$ for the impact sono we want to do- why would u just want to throw out all that money and give a free donation to bru if u dont have to? i could see if u didnt have a truck, but i was like please, we have this big suv, lets use it! he says that dresser is going to be way to heavy, whatever, we can bring his friend!

I have this set in Espresso and I absolutely love it!!!!!! I didn't have the greatest experience with the order but I feel I am part to blame for that. I ordered the crib...armoire...dresser and hutch but they were all done on seperate invoices so I could use the 15% off coupon on each piece. The girl ringing it up ordered the first piece in Espresso but every other piece in natural. I didn't notice it on the invoices because I never really looked at them...my mistake. We picked up the furniture when it came in...which was pretty fast...I can't remember off the top of my head how long but i can look it up. When we got the furniture home and started to unpack it I realized the color difference. again kinda my fault I didn't read the boxes when picking up. The reordered the correct furniture and gave me another 10% off each wrong piece.
The furniture in the boxes are extremely large...be aware. We had used my boyfriends BIL's work van and it was tight. I personally don't think an SUV will cut it...a pick up will be fine with more than 1 trip.
I'll take pictures this weekend probably...we're still getting the room together. I didn't love the dresser in the store because to me it looked like it wouldn't hold much but it actually hold SO much!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this set!!!!

thanks for all the info! i was worried about the size of the armoire and dresser- was the armoire mostly assembled or does it come in alot of pieces? i would love to see some pics when u take them!
