Babies R Us Classes
Has anyone gone to any of these, or is planning on it? I think they're free so I'd rather save the $ and not take it at the hospital if I can take it at BRU for free!

They mentioned it to us when we registered. There is a calendar at the registry desk of classes and dates.

I've been to two of them so far, one on breastfeeding and one on baby care. There totally worth it especially cause they're free!

Thank you for the feedback. I think I'll call there tomorrow and get a schedule. If I find anything out I'll post it for anyone who wants to know.

Re: Babies R Us Classes
I didn't get a chance to go in yesterday, but I would love to take one. The last one was about decorating a nursery, but it was given graduation weekend.

I'm thinking of going to the ones given at Huntington Hospital where I'm having the baby and they are free. But this can be another great choice to go too as well. Would you please post the information once you get it. Much appreciated !!!

Re: Babies R Us Classes
There is a Women's Health & Breastfeeding Fair on August 12th. I believe that is at all the BRU's. I go to the one in Westbury, I don't have the August schedule yet but there is one more class in July on the 19th called Handling the Aches and pains of Pregnancy.

Re: Babies R Us Classes
I went to an infant care class at the one in Bohemia/Sayville that a really nice pediatrician and his staff ran. DH and I left with tons of samples. I highly suggest the class and the ped was so nice. I would have went wth him if I hadn't already found one.

I went to the Infant Care and the Infant Care Basics classes at this store. Neither were on Saturdays. They were on Weds or Thurs evening (I just don't remember which). One of them -- Infant Care, I believe was run by a pediatrician and it was really good. Very thorough and very informative. The other one was run by the employees at BRU and I felt it was a waste of time. All they basically did was show videos and then ask if we had any questions. When I did have a question, they could not answer me sufficiently. I recommend the one held by the pediatrician. I have not been to any of the other classes. I think I was just turned off by the one run by the BRU staff.
