babies with gas
Hannah has terrible gas and is uncomfortable ALOT! (I'm sure its gas because she's always passing gas and burping.) I've been giving her the Mylicon drops with every bottle which helps, but she's still in pain. Do any of those special formulas work? like the Gentlease?
eta i use dr browns bottles
She shouldn't have to live like this

Re: babies with gas
There are a few formulas that can help with gas. Talk to your ped, I know different doctors llike to try different formulas.
Sometimes Mylicon just doesnt do enough for them.

Re: babies with gas
We used Mylicon too although I'm not really sure it helped. We switched to Dr. Brown's bottles which I liked alot better too. I wanted to change formula's but my ped didn't want me too so we didn't. Around 6-8 weeks she started to be less gassy. I'm not sure if it's because her digestive system started to get a little older or what... but alot of people switched to nestle good start since it has some proteins that are broken down. My friend used Smiliac Alimentum which is really expensive but her son was gassy and colicky and she said it really worked. My dr eventually said that I could switch to that if I really wanted to but my DD started to get better.

Re: babies with gas
Dr. Brown's bottles seem to work. Alanna also has the worst gas. After she eats and burps. I hold her in what I read is the "gas hold" (it is her face out w/ my are across her stomach) while i walk around and try to wash bottles, clean up etc. It seems to soothe her.

Re: babies with gas
I do use Dr Browns bottles...she's pretty calm laying on my belly on her belly with me rubbing/patting her back...but I can't always have her on me. I'm praying the dr has some solution to help her feel better.

Re: babies with gas
I heard Gripe Water works well. It supposedly works for colic and fussiness from teething as well. Anyone use it??? It can be found at health food stores.
