Re: baby friendly quinoa recipe?

I use Quinoa a lot.... I throw it in a pot with a bunch of veggies and broth and feed it to her like that

For breakfast mix it with applesauce, raisins, dried cranberries and dried apricots.

I make quinoa flour... super easy to grind yourself and substitute 1/3 quinoa flour for the regular flour in banana and pumpkin bread recpies that she loves!

I love cooking with it!

Re: baby friendly quinoa recipe?

I give Sasha tons of quinoa-- she loves it!

Here is what I make...I just made them all up.

Quinoa/Mashed Steamed Peas/Ricotta Cheese
I usually add in some olive oil, basil, oregano and shaved peccorino for seasoning.

Quinoa/Red Chief Lentils/Roasted Apples
Red Chief lentils have a nice flavor to them and they basically cook down to mush, so they are great to mix for baby food. Then dice up really small like 3 or so apples, and toss with some olive oil and roast in the oven. Season with some cinnamon.

Quinoa/Banana/Black Beans
You can mash or puree the beans.

Roasted Sweet Potatoes/Peppers, Mashed Peas & Edamame with brown rice or lentils. "Baby Risotto"
Dice and roast the sweet potatoes and peppers. Steam and mash the peas and edamame. Stir with riccotta cheese and add peccoino and basil for seasoning.

Tomato/Red Lentil/Quinoa/Ricotta
I used organic unseasoned canned tomato sauce-- the red chief lentils, mix with quinoa and ricotta.

Mashed Peas & Edamame-- season with shaved peccorino.

Cooked diced Tomato, pureed chickpea, ricotta, grated pecorino, oregano, basil, fresh garlic

Sweet potato with quinoa and cinnamon
