Baby Jogger City Mini - 2 questions

We just changed our stroller to the City Mini a week ago, and my MIL bought it for us for my shower. I'm really happy we switched. I'm actually excited to start using it!

I have two questions for those of you who have registered/received/bought it.

1. What age do you plan on putting your baby in it? How old do they need to be to lay safely inside?

2. Can I leave the child snack tray on the stroller when I close it up, or do I have to take the snack tray off every time?

I'm sorry, I dont have this stroller so i cant answer you questions, but is this your lightweight stroller?

I'm thinking if I register for the snap & go and the city mini for a lightweight I should be ok right?

I'm thinking about registering for the same.

We got it but haven't even put it together yet.

I plan on using it after she's a few months old. It reclines all the way down so it's no problem to put them in there young.

I don't know about the snack tray if it's able to stay on or not when folded, that's a good question!

I'm just putting DS in it now at a little over 4 months. He still can't sit up completely on his own but it reclines so that's how he'll be in it for now. He can still fit in his snap-n-go but the city mini is just easier for me to push on the sidewalks. And yes, you have to take the tray off to close it.

And to the other poster, yes, the snap and go and the city mini are all you need really. When they get bigger you can get yourself a cheap umbrella stroller as well.

The City Mini is our main stroller. It's very light weight and folds up nicely.

We also registered for the snap & go to use in the beginning. I figured I'd use this almost exclusively the first few months.

With these two strollers, we don't plan on needing any other strollers for a while.

From what I have read, you can put the baby in as a newborn because it fully reclines. I have no idea about the snack tray, but you won't need that for a while anyway.

we registered for this stroller as well.

While we don't plan on using it immediately, it can be used from birth up till 50 lbs weight limit. It has a full recline which is what an infant needs.

We tried leaving the snack tray on in the store and folding it up, and it works! It just sticks out the top. I think it depends on the situation and how packed the trunk will be as to whether we leave it on or not when folded up.

hope this helps!

Thats fine. You can move DC out of the snap and go/carrier to a regular stroller once they have good enough head control to be sitting up and not flopping all over the place and that they can sit up assisted. If they are going to be laying down, it doesnt matter so much. They do make they head snuggies that you can add to a stroller for a little extra head support though. DS was about 4 or 5 months when we moved the the regular stroller.

Just got it and put it together....don't plan on using till baby is a bit bigger

Didn't get a tray, read reviews that it sits up high, so we'll try it in the store w/the baby in it....i hear the belly bar that goes across is good later because child can pull her/himself up to see better

Re: Baby Jogger City Mini - 2 questions

The tray can stay on and it says you can use it from birth, but I don't plan on putting my baby in it until he is 5-6 months. We have the Snap N Go to use before.

You can also buy an attachment to use the City Mini as a Snap n Go with your infant seat. BBB has it for $59. We got the Snap N Go at my shower, so we figured that would be easier.
