Re: baby/kid modeling
I did have Andrew in modeling for awhile. I would def do it again with Andrew and Baby #2 as soon as I can become a SAHM. Working and trying to do it is exhausting
But I look back now and some of the places we got to go to and the experiences we had were fantastic and I wouldn't take it back for the world.

We do it with my DS- and I would do it again...It is a lot of traveling and w/ the cost of gas now-a-days I'm really picky what go-see's we attend, where as when he was an infant, we tried to go to them all..Tougher now that he's a toddler though- Depening on our situation, may do it w/ baby # 2

Re: baby/kid modeling
Nope.
We were approached when Robbie was an infant. We didn't even have to pay for a portfolio, this gentleman was willing to do everything - but it would have required me going into the city and lugging my baby around to these like audition type things. Sounded like a full time job to me.

Re: baby/kid modeling
If it didnt onvolve going to NYC with a toddler yes. we had one place call us 3 times so far and I just cannot see how to go into nyc and do it, though I think the $$ would be good to use towards his college fund and I bet he'd actually like it.

Re: baby/kid modeling
i would do it if it didn't involve so much time and commuting to NYC. Maybe if I didn't work I'd feel different about it.
My son loves the camera and is a complete ham. And of course I think he is the most gorgeous thing on the planet (what mom doesn't). With his mile long lashes, chubby cheeks and cleft chin I melt over him! I'm too biased to even decipher whether other people would feel the same.

What agency are you with. My ds modeled for 3 years. I sent out photos of him to the reputable companies and waited for an intervie. We were with Product. Alot of back and forth to the city. He hit 9 and didn't want to do it. Booked alot too, oh well.

We are with Gilla Roos and FFT (Funny Face Today)...My DS started off the same way, when he was about 4 months old I sent his photos to a few agencies and we chose these 2 because we didnt want to be exclusive with one (they let us free-lance)...Its neat, we have a little scrap-book of the jobs he was booked for and it gave him some extra $ towards whatever he wants to use it for...Don't know about Product, but with our agencies, calls really started to slow down once he turned 2 (and they said it would when we signed with them) - which is a relief because I always felt bad declining them when we didnt want to go Now that I have a baby on the way, theres no way (unless it was a direct booking) that I would be trekkin into NYC (between gas/tolls/ parking and the heat- no thanks !)
But for those of you interested in doing this w/ DC, thats how we got started, sent pics out and waited for responses - For someone who lives near NYC- you could really have fun with it if your DC likes it !

Re: baby/kid modeling
I've thought about trying it with Lily...she loves the camera and seems to be pretty photogenic. But I hate travelling into the city, and we both work FT, so it would be really difficult. If there was a way we could do it on weekends only...or on LI only - I'd do it in a heartbeat! Her college fund could use a little boost!

Re: baby/kid modeling
Although my work gives me some flexibility, having my child in modeling would not coincide well with my work.

Re: baby/kid modeling
I would as long as long as it made them happy. Product asked me to bring Emma in, but I was going back to work and figured it would be too much. I think it would be really neat to see my children in a magazine or on a poster though!
