Baby Kyle update
thank you all for the good thoughts...
Monday night we went to visit him thinking he was still on track for coming home yesterday. The nurse then told us due to respiration issues his antibiotics would probably be extended from 7 to 10 days(meaning he would be coming home Friday night/Saturday morning.
Tuesday the xray was done again. They determined he was improving but not 100% so his antibiotics were extended.
Yesterday i drove myself to withrop for the 11 and 2 feedings and got a lactation consult for a second time. I had been in favor of pumping not BF directly, but it really is so much easier if the baby will latch(which the consult got him to). The weight has also been dropping off faster for me too
Yesteday night dh and I drove back for the 5pm feeding, and they forgot we were coming and fed him but dh got to hold him- and we got a nice surprise that he was moved up to the intermediate ICU- for babies that are close to going home. He should be getting circumcized today and then its just a matter of them giving him the rest of the antibiotics(which is kinda sad cause the IV lock they had to move from his hand, to the side of his head, to his top forehead, one of the nurses said he looks like a unicorn  )
