Baby losing weight?
What doe sit mean if the baby starts losing weight at the end? My friend just got induced becasue the baby lost a pound. Why would that happen? Is everything going to be OK?

 I hope your friend and her little one are doing well.
How do they know that the baby has lost weight? I thought all of these growth sonos are just estimates.

I think the weight's are just estimates and can vary a lot. But I do know that there is somthing that happens when the baby stops growing in utero and they decide to deliver early. I have no idea what causes it, but hopefully it won't cause any problems once the baby is out

IUGR is inter utero growth restriction..this is when something is going wrong with placenta/cord and baby has stopped growing the way he/she is supposed. My ds had this...however I have never heard of a baby losing weight.
