Baby Neener update w/PICS
I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW, YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!!!!
We had the sonogram this afternoon, the technician was a little stale, obviously didn't realize how freaked out we were. She kept saying, "I'll tell you when I'm done." Yeah, so an HOUR later they got all the pictures they needed except one, the 4 chambers of the heart. So we have to go back in 2 weeks for that picture, and a growth sono.
We had 3 technicians trying to get this one shot. We are all now positive that our baby is stubborn as all get out as he/she kept squirming and moving from the time they put the wand on my stomach.
But the most important part is the baby is HEALTHY!!!!! They said that there is no evidence showing them that this baby has trisomy 18. Obviously doctors cannot be 100% sure about anything, but they said everything looked fine and the baby was healthy. Makes me so much more confident in my decision not to do the amnio (and having a needle so close to the baby), especially at the amount of movement this baby had, it was non-stop!
I feel like 20 tons of bricks have been removed from my shoulders. Thank you to each and every one of you that sent good thoughts and prayers our way. They worked!!!!!
I am the happiest mommy in the world right now. DH will scan pictures later for me, I'll probaby get them up tomorrow.
