Baby-proofing: breakables and accents around your home?

Kailey really does not touch much, but I am so afraid to put anything out so what do you use for accents around your home?

I kept everything out, he knows what he can and can't touch.

We basically kept everything out as well. The only thing we took away was our fully glass coffee table.

Our place is pretty bare, but we never got around to decorating really before he was born. It got to be a PITA to constantly tell him he couldn't touch too many things, and since we didn't have much anyway, I didn't care.

It's up to you. If it will bother you to have so few things out, it might be worth teaching him what he can and can't touch, but I'm waiting until dS is a little older.

I never put anything away. DD learned what she can and can't touch (most of our accents). And it was actually DH who knocked my Lenox bowl off the ledge over the stairs and broke it, so you never know...

i put the precious moments away and the frames that i knew would break if he touched them. i just put them in the entertainment center and put the babyproof latches on the doors. i left out frames that wouldn't break if dropped.
