Baby registry items you love, cant live without, or are useless
Hi all,
I am 6 wks pregnant so I normally hang around the pregnancy boards.i know i have plenty of time to think about registry items but I just want to start jotting down some helpful /useful baby products.
Can you experienced ladies tell me what baby items you registered for that you absolutely love? cant live without? and ones that are useless?
I'd also love to get some reviews on carriages, strollers, and car seats, since those items seem to be expensive. some seem so big and bulky.
and how are they travel system carriages?
TIA!!

LOVE: -Graco Snugride infant seat -Snap & Go stroller frame -Britax convertible carseat (we have the Roundabout) - Ultimate Crib Sheets (search that exact wording on BRU website) - Angelcare Monitor--- A GODSEND in my opinion - Tiny Love Mobile (search on BRU, there are several styles) - If you're going to bottle-feed at all, dishwasher baskets for the top rack for nipples and other small parts - Boppy, esp. if you're breastfeeding
That's it for now, I'll add more as I think of them!

Re: Baby registry items you love, cant live without, or are useless
Things I love.... -Car Seat (GracoSnugRide) & Snap & Go--we have done without the travel system -FP Papason Swing (I waited to get this until I realized he was totally the type of kid who would love a swing) -Miracle blanket for swaddling -I am BFing, when he was really little I used the Boppy a lot, now that he is a bit bigger I just hold him
I would also recommend the Baby Bargains book, this was the ultimate book when it comes to reviews of baby items
ETA we also love the tiny love symphony in motion mobile.......its the best!

Love: snap and go FP rainforest bouncer (life saver!!!!) graco swing tiny love mobile video monitor exersaucer Playtex drop ins white noise machine (life saver!!!) bundle me!
useless:
Boppy (I didn't BF)
ETA: We have the Graco metrolite travel system and love it. I use the infant carrier in the snap and go but if we are doing long walks I've used the stroller which DD seems to love and it is very light and easy to get in and out of the car.

Re: Baby registry items you love, cant live without, or are useless
My DD is 2 now so I have to try to remember, but I know I loved: The Graco Snugride and the stroller frame for it The Tiny Love Symphony Lights in Motion mobile (DD still uses the music box every night even now) The Miracle Blanket The Diaper Champ (we still use it now) Swing, swing, swing!! (couldn't have survived without it)
I also used the wipes warmer when she was real little.
I really like my Graco Quattro stroller. Sure, it is big and bulky and heavy but it is a workhorse!! It takes a beating and I've never had any problems with it. I have a Chicco umbrella type stroller and am not very fond of it. DD sits way too far back, even when the seat is all the way up.
I highly recommend the Baby Bargains book. Get it and read it BEFORE you even try to register. It explains all the features and benefits of every baby item out there! It doesn't necessarily tell you how to get everything cheap, it just tells what is worth the money and what isn't. It also helps you to decide if you want to spend the extra money for certain features.
