Baby rolling in crib at night?! Tummy Sleeper
My DD is 5 months and i have cosleeped her up until now in a little bed next to me. Well, she is finally napping in her crib and i figured i would transition her over at night... She rolled like crazy in it last night..she at one point, was sideways laying against the bumper..it is freaking me out! She only sleeps on her tummy but will roll on her back, then back to her tummy but bc there isnt enough room in the crib ends up sideways laying against the bumper! I know i have to take those out but if i didnt have those, she would prob have bruises.. Seriously, i am on no sleep because probably around 2 am i brought her back in because i couldnt get peace of mind.
Should i worry or just let her go. Shes been rolling since just under 3 months and is super strong but it is hard not to worry!

Re: Baby rolling in crib at night?! Tummy Sleeper
My DD is 6 months and has been rolling for a while now. My doc said that as long as she is rolling over and putting herself on her tummy that it is ok. DD will really only sleep on her tummy now and roll allllllll night long...lol
I just put the bumpers back in a 2 days ago becasuse when she would roll, she wouls smack her head or arms on the wood. She also snugs in the side and leans up against the bumpers, I can't tell you how many times I walked into her room last night to heck on her..lol
I was told that at this point that they would roll oer and switch postions if they were having trouble brething through the bumper.
Gosh, DD sleeps through the night like a pro but its me that can not sleep through the night..haha

Re: Baby rolling in crib at night?! Tummy Sleeper
Kaydyn is a VERY restless sleeper....we have kept the bumpers in her crib for that reason (we have also taken her aquarium out b/c she kept smacking her head on it in the middle of the night).
As soon as Kaydyn could roll to her stomach she pretty much slept on her stomach most of the time. As long as she could hold her head up I wasn't worried that she was sleeping like that.

Re: Baby rolling in crib at night?! Tummy Sleeper
Thanks so much for the info! Makes me feel better! I just worry about her rolling and laying sideways but if she is strong enough to get there, she will get back in the right position! Naps arent really long enough to have her moving too much but at night, wow, i am so tired from last night!!

Re: Baby rolling in crib at night?! Tummy Sleeper
DD has been doing this too, my fear is that she's a great back to tummy roller but then does push ups and won't sleep on her belly bc it's harder for her to go from her belly to her back so I still have her in the positioner bc she kept waking herself up from rolling over and then propping herself up
