baby shower
Hugs! I know how you feel, I planned my whole baby shower and probably wouldn't have had one if I didn't. Since your BFF said she's there to help, get in touch with her and start delegating things you need help with ( invites, favors, etc). Don't be afraid of asking for help!!! And don't worry about having it too late, I was 36 weeks at my shower and people thought I was nuts that I was so far along but it all went smoothly.

I have a realllly hard time delegating. Its just easier if I do things myself but invites need to go out and I dont know if I should include her name? it sounds SO SO stupid but I also dont want to hurt her feelings if she ends up stepping up twds the end?
In my experience you only include the person who is paying for the party on the shower invitation. Now when my cousin got married her mom paid for the Bridal shower and her bridesmaids helped in other ways (games and decor, etc). So on her invite they put something like "given with love by bride's mother with the help of bridesmaids". Don't remember the exact words. Maybe you could put something like that so you don't feel bad? But I wouldn't put her name unless she actually did something towards the party, so give her a heads up before doing that.

Re: baby shower
I don't know how formal the invites are going to be, but my mom/sister didn't include a host name on the invites. The only indication of who was throwing the party was who to RSVP to. I don't think you necessarily need to include who is actually hosting.

i've never received a baby shower or bridal shower invitation stating who the host is... I've only ever seen it on a formal wedding invitation

Re: baby shower
Yeah I think for a baby shower you can get away with- Please join us for a baby shower honoring_______ or whatever variation of that. I don't think you need to list a host. I have never paid enough attention to notice if a host was listed or not, so there's that too Most people won't even notice

I've seen it and always thought it was a bit odd.
OP, I don't think you need to list a host. Or you could just put "grandmas to be" if you want.
